    1. .........and that`s why I wanted to have it - Mr.Buchholz has been part of my collection before !!! Cut as the other photo , made at the same day but more detailed and a so called "breast piece" - you can see the orders even better.... and last but not least.............. on this photo someone has been very kind and wrote on the reverse "Onkel Willy Buchholz" Enjoy!!!
    2. .............and with him some very nice orders!!! two weeks ago I got a very nice photo on ebay - and I was very happy to get THIS special picture because I knew the man on the photo.... it is cutted at the bottom but this was nothing new too..... on the reverse is nothing written but you can see some very nice details like his artillery pickelhaube and his saber. His medal bar is quit nice with two different red eagles and a japanese guy - the siamese twin is on the neck!!! It is Oberst Willy Buchholz , commander of 1.Th?ringisches Feldartillerie-Regiment N?19
    3. Thanks Rick , I found him directly 1900 as Oberst and commander of the 2.Garde Feldartillerie Regiment with additional PC3 !!! Thousands thanks for all these names - if you ever want to park yourself in central germany for some days you are welcome in my house !!!
    4. Next one of the unknown wearers of interesting medal bars.... now a very nice combination of prussian line-up with EK2 1870 + 25y oakleaves , red eagle 4 , 25y service cross and KDM 1870 with one clasp and then 2 foreigners with Austria iron crown and Persia sun and lion order !!! Photo is taken in Potsdam / Spandau = Berlin , must be between 1895 and 1897 I think this should be possible , again it is my problem with the missing rank lists before 1900 maybe someone will find him thank you very much!!! Heiko
    5. thank you very much Jens !!! As always it is very easy if you know where to search...... So, we are talking about Mr.Kruge now.... he is the lucky winner. Any information about him and his career ??? Is it the same Kruge that was 1910 Oberst and commander of Niederschlesisches Infanterie Regiment N?47 ?
    6. Maybe someone can help me out with the names of the commanders of the 22.Division during ww1............ if we have a match you will be loaned with the man itself later... thank you Heiko
    7. That sounds very interesting........but if he is Gendamerie what is this on his shoulderboards???? Anybody a similar pic to show?
    8. unfortunately no name or anything else on the reverse.... all that I can give you is his complete family
    9. ...in my eyes N?3 is a "normal" Mecklenburg combattant ribbon - on the reverse you can see the very light blue colour
    10. Great group photo of the top of the german navy in China about 1900 - some very high officers with very big medal bars - can someone name these men???
    11. ah of course - I was a bit blind........ then it is a peacetime SEHO-medal before 1914 , right?
    12. I am absolutely not shure about the medal of this man - and of course not about the shoulderboards... I can`t find any 100% matching head for the one on the medal and the right time period - or I am simply confused of checking too many photos today..... please help!!!
    13. Hi Claudio, possible - but only Mr.Leftside can it be because of the chinamedal from Mr.Rightside missing on your very great group - by the way : In my eyes the cross of the order looks even better than the order itself...
    14. Now that would be a good way to explain the orders and the shoulderboards!!! thank you Josef and Mike!!!
    15. Sweden??? Are you really shure about that...??? The sword order of sweden was for officers only - and these men are no officers!!! That would be indeed very curious :speechless1:
    16. I am searching for informations on Oberst Magdeburg - military career , complete list of orders , unit on the photo and so on.... I think the picture is taken 1898 , the first rank list I have is 1900 and I can`t find him anymore - maybe retired 1898 or 1899 any help is welcome!!! Heiko
    17. Hello gentlemen, here is a picture with two guys wearing the same (for me) unknown order - what is it? Interesting to see that the left man has it in first place on his bar and the right man has it in last place - he prefers to wear his china medal with 2 battle clasps in first place as I would do too . Maybe someone can tell me what Regiment it is? any help is welcome , thanks in advance Heiko
    18. ........very interesting!!! I had a 2-place 1870 medal bar once upon a time and there the 1870 Meiningen clasp was fixed exact the same way !!! :speechless1:
    19. ........and what is interesting for me also is the China medal he is wearing on his bar !!!
