    1. Right Sascha, typical example for a medal bar with no bling-bling on it for a very high officer...
    2. :speechless1: Vietnam......???? I have NEVER seen this before with a german officer........ Sascha, I would say it is a LD1 - but I am not 100% shure....
    3. :speechless1: it was his???? I can remember it now..... I think we have discussed this here - has someone the link to the old thread?
    4. Hello Bernhard, thank you so far.... that`s a good start that the given name is correct for the picture!!!

Saxon AO with crown any possibility to give this man his name back? thank you Heiko

    10. Here is a nice photo that I have got with the name Major Georg Kraut - can someone please confirm that and give me a list of his awards.... I can`t make scans at the moment so the photo quality is not the best, sorry for that.... What I can see he has: on the breast: EK1 wound badge black elephant order Carl Eduard Kriegskreuz on the neck: some kind of SEHO with swords on the bar: EK2 2 hanseatic crosses (?) red eagle 4 25y long service cross DSWA-medal Centenarmedal SEHO Bavaria MVO Sachsen AO ??? colonial medal or china medal ??? waiting for your good ideas now.... Heiko
    11. :speechless1: Werner that is for shure the killer of the day !!!! Great chain !!! :jumping:
    12. Rick - short and sad answer..... NO perhaps you can pm me the names to be prepared in case of a collection resurrection..........
    13. Beau, the problem is - and please correct me anyone if I am wrong - that the MEZ2 must be for china because in 1870 were no MEZs handed out because of the EK2...which he got - it can`t be for 1866 because there is none of the crosses for 1866 - but it makes no sense to me that someone gets an EK2 1870 and then 30 years nothing to go back in battle on the other side of the world and get a MEZ2.... maybe Bernd has any info about a possible 50+year old someone that got a MEZ2 for China...????????????? I can`t believe it... :(
    14. really??? I have seen more bars and chains with FKEK in front of the state awards than the other way - but of course I believe you....
    15. very interesting the last chain of Beau - again without any long service award..... is the china medal a combattant one??? makes not really sense at all with MEZ2 AND iron cross..... but we are here to discuss
    16. First of all - there is no Mecklenburg on the chain , it is Braunschweig KVK2 Second - it is in absolute correct order for a mid 1930s mini chain : EK (nearly always N?1) , Frontfighters cross (some kind of "general" "all state" german ww1 combat award) in front of the state awards , in this case from Braunschweig and Sachsen Herzogt?mer and then the real foreign awards , in this case Bulgaria. Third - the Bulgaria pinback order is a real beauty !!!
    17. Hi Stefan, give me your email and you will get a scan of it... I had some parts of the Sievert estate but I gave it to Karsten - and he gave you a picture of Sievert lustiger Kreislauf... by the way...this picture here was a ebay find but not from the estate seller..... was some months later a lucky find. all the best Heiko
    18. And here is my special friend Sievert a bit later with a bit more bling-bling
    19. No, there is only the Skagerrak-clasp for this medal... no other clasps existing.
