Kriegsmarine KM Gasmask tin
KM-SPAIN replied to Colin O.'s topic in Germany: Third Reich: Uniforms, Headwear, Insignia & Equipment
Colin, here you have a picture of a complete one. Unfortunately not mine. Is for use with the big cannons of the navy, on ships and coastals. -
Thanks your kind words, I have tryed to complete all different models of KM uniforms, with a lot of patience and looking a lot for each item, and I'm so glad that you like them as much as I do. I absolutly agree with you Andre, KM uniforms, not only the blue ones but also the the green ones, are some of the nicest of the TR.

I have seen, in this and in other forums, that pleople like to see the items and collections of the other people, but most of them don't like to contribute to the post whith their own collection. I can not belive that there is nobody around that have some Coastal Artillery uniform, caps, equipment, ... to show to the rest of us, so we can learn more about this hard hobby. Anyway I will try to mantein this one. Best regards to all.

Kriegsmarine Help With Name Tag on KM Reefer Jacket
KM-SPAIN replied to John B's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Rick, thanks for your explanations. If I have understood you well, the date of the promotion to Kapit?nleutnant is only the date of the comunicati?n, but it was retroactive to a prior date. -
Kriegsmarine Help With Name Tag on KM Reefer Jacket
KM-SPAIN replied to John B's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Hello Rick, I have a doubt about this, why the Marineofficerkleiderkasse tag is dated in 1934/8 as a Oberlt.z.See, if this man had the rank of kapit?nleutnant since 1933/7. This is not the tipical upgrading tunic with a tag of a lower rank. Regards. Eduardo -

Kriegsmarine U-Boat Clasp
KM-SPAIN replied to KM-SPAIN's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Gordon, the badge is not in silver is in broze, but the finish shines a lot in the pictures, because it looks like it was polished. The wide is 76,5 mm, and 24,5 mm high, the thickness is around 3mm, and the weight is 19,1gr. -

Kriegsmarine U-Boat Clasp
KM-SPAIN replied to KM-SPAIN's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Any other coment about this?, with pictures what do you think, could be the second one a zinc model?, or the finish is not the usual for this badge. -
Kriegsmarine U-Boat Clasp
KM-SPAIN replied to KM-SPAIN's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Gordon, I'm not really sure, but there are some differendes between them. The finish of the second one is very smooth and it shines much, on the back side also without the typical bubbles of oxide of zink under the painting. The first one has the tipical mate finish and the bubbles. The the weight and the measures are correct, so perhaps is zinc but the finish is not the same than in the other one. -
