    1. Thanks for the additional info Ulsterman I guess it will take a lot of time and luck to find a period photo of our guy...
    2. Now I see, the central medallion is looking different from original examples. I'm still a bit confused by the terms like post-1918 copies, museum copies and collector copies etc., I guess they all mean high quality fakes.
    3. Hello guys, may I have your opinion about this Crown Order? It's not my field but I do know there are fine copies out there. Many thanks
    4. Sure thing! anything I can contribute, let me know.
    5. Okay, that was an interesting discussion... I have this photo in my archive with black ribbon and cross, not sure if it's Johanniter order or Malta cross. Anyway it's nice and still out there. @Daniel, good to hear from you !
    6. Dave, you are right, thanks for the correction. I'd like to see his full size medal bar as well... Thanks for looking everyone.
    7. Hi again. Here is a ribbon bar that I have forgotten for some time, just took it out from the deepest of my drawer, it got bad looking on the back that I don't really like in my first thought, anyway here it is toghether with some minis.
    8. Thank you Rick, that sounds really interesting. Is any chance for this one to be identified? From what I read in previous comments it doesn't sound positive at all
    9. Hello guys, I would like to show you a ribbon bar belonged Major Emmery von Lorck. He was born 30.09.1855 in Berlin, went into the field as a battalion commander in Res Inf Rgt 332, then was on the Military Hospital Commission in Fritzlar, In 1914 he was a charakterisiert Major zD (01.10.1912) in charge of Reporting Office Schleiz under Landwehrbezirk Kommando Gera, where he died 15.12.1916 of exertions related to war service.
    10. Appreciate that! The black light test showed nothing suspicious on the back side, however the Ernestine house order ribbon did glow and a little bit pink, don't know if that's a bad sign or not.
    11. Found a crystal clear photo of him and his post WWI medal bar... a funeral photo.
