    1. Check if the seller have other document or something related to the soldier, quite often they broke up groupings and people usually pay more to reunite the lot.
    2. Wow.. those pieces are then seriously dangerous. Is the SDA discussion conclusive? can you share the link? Look at the level of details they made, they must have found the original tooling of those rare medals.
    3. Thanks! A few more threads mentioning Godet and Meybauer PLMs. godet PLM - Wehrmacht-Awards.com Militaria Forums.pdf A Study of the Godet Style PlM - Wehrmacht-Awards.com Militaria Forums.pdf PLM - Meybauer - Wehrmacht-Awards.com Militaria Forums.pdf
    4. Sure, let’s meet Fl.Ob.Mt Anesorge, wearing his old artillery unit outfit with a seefliegerabzeichen and two award ribbons, the 2nd ribbon behind EK2 is unclear to me.
    5. Thank you so much! Guess our guy is Fl.Ob.Mt. Anesorge. What about the first name?
    6. Nice interwar piece. Meybauer made them in both single and double side versions, they're believed struck from the Godet tool. An interesting reading on WAF. Here is a double side example, still looking for a period ribbon for it.
    7. Yeah those bronze gild Meybauer PLMs are pretty nice and scarce definitely worth a separate thread.
    8. Thanks for the information, that makes it a pretty scary fake! Detailed pics are still there before ebay take them down. https://www.ebay.de/itm/296057676479
    9. ...... ribbon bar features a Tapferkeitsmedaille ........ ....... ..... A 2-row softback ribbon bar grouping, the bar with EK2 is combat award bar, another one starts with Hindy cross is the 2nd row and mostly commemorative awards. Likely belonged to medical veteran from KM. ...... ...... minty Wagner piece ....... ......
    10. I want to make one exception to post an ongoing auction of a ribbon bar because this one belongs to the full size bar auctioned earlier this month, broken up and listed by the same seller. If anyone here bought the big bar please don't miss the chance of completing the group.
    11. All medals and ribbons on that Colonial bar look fine to me, the KO4x seems to have some parts of the swords repaired so both screwed and soldered sword parts are visible. The elephant badge pinned on Afrika colonial medal ribbon is certainly unusual but makes sense, IMO not necessarily a bad sign, it would be a bold move and require some imagination for an ordinary faker to do so. Same for the KO4X on white ribbon combination. Another thing I particularly like on this bar is the double rosette ribbon folding, consistent quality and finely made. Only thing I don't like is the look of the catch, wired type with rough cut, but not necessarily a deal breaker IMO.
