    2. This is a hat badge worn by members of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation's Security Force. The yellow in the middle is the outline of the reservations boundries. Hanford is the site where the United States built the plutonium triggers for the atomic bombs that were dropped on Japan ending WW II.     3. No, just happened to run into another "new" friend on a different police web site. Just had to get the white one when I saw the "correct" insignia on the side.

The White hat is/was the regular Gendarmerie hat - now Police - regular hat The blue beret is from the "old" Gendarmerie - now Police - regular beret Black beret is from the "old" Police - now these black berets are worn from the riot unit. All these hats/berets are the old styles - the new styles are looking similar only with a different hat badge and without insignias on the left side of the hats.

    14. I've had this for over 40 years. Just decided to get it out of the basement and take some shots to share. I got it at a Military Surplus store in Arkansas in the early 1960's.
    15. This belonged to my Grandfather who fought in Verdun.

    17. Interesting concept Hugh. Unfortunately I haven'ta clue one way or the other (hence my posting and asking for assistance in identifying). If anyone can help by refering to the first picture I posted and comment on the wavy seam line, perhaps that may help clarify.
