    1. Greg, Thanks for your input. Might you be able to give me a possible value for the holster and belt? I realize value is "in the eye of the buyer" but would appreciate any comments. Thanks also for the info on the patches. Ed

    3. Can't make this out too well. I thought it looked like a Smith & Wesson stamp but not sure. It is pretty well worn so this is about the best I can get with my camera.
    4. Here are some pics. I think you'll be able to see the marking clearly. If not please ask. Diameter of base is 1 3/4" Ed
    5. Hi Mervyn, I figured I would get something out of you. I haven't really taken a close look for awhile, but will now that you asked. I'll let you know later. Ed
    6. Michael, I'll have to do a little "surgery" on the base. It has a glued felt base covering the screw, but I can get to it. Give me a day or two and I'll get the info posted with pics. Thanks for responding. Ed
    7. Paul, Here are two patches I got awhile ago. Can you date them for me please? Thanks in advance Ed
    8. Paul, A question for you ( I have already asked Mervyn and got his thoughts). I saw a holster/belt like this in a shop last week for $23.00 (US currency) and am thinking about getting it tomorrow if it's still available. My question is this: On the flap is stamped R.C.M.P. Since I didn't see that on this one, I was wondering if this may, in fact, be a valid RCMP holster? Thanks Ed
    9. The bottom set of stripes look like a pair of WW II US Army Corporal stripes turned upside down. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:US_Army_WWII_CPL.svg

    13. The shells were brought home from France after WW I by my Grandfather. We made book end out of them sometime later. I'd appreciate any help in ID'ing the markings.

    15. I got this years ago when stationed in England (love those Saturday morning antiquing hunts I wrote to the NRA (National Rifle Association) asking for an ID. Their reply was that it sort of equated to a "Saturday Night Special". Anyway, t's a nice conversation piece. Enjoy Ed
