    2. I didn´t get it, a guy is triying to sell me this one but it is quite a bit different than others I saw, any way there is a lot of information on an internet page I know, just use the translator on the internet page. However, it doesn´t says anything about the existence of a helmet with the inside covered with fabric, nor plastic chinstrap, nor different suspension, or any modifications. Here is the link to the page I told you about:
    3. what can you tell me about this?
    4. Good afternoon my friends; I have a question about a VC or NVA helmet a guy is trying to sell me; it looks prety old (in fact the helmet is broked in a wing), that`s good,I love that. But I allways see the fabric cover onlyoutside and the interior painted, this one is covered by fabric in both sides, the chinstrap is plastic and suspension is quite different. I read that these helmets where used by civilians also... I saw the helmet personally but I didn´t took any pictures, anyway the guy send me 3 pictures by e-mail. I wonder why is different than other ones I saw in pictures and internet sites.
    5. Well the ones I saw are not in good shape but the risk still high; your answer maked clear why they are so cheap and why there is almost no information about them. Thanks a lot man it realy surprised me when I saw thm because I didn`t had idea that they exists
    6. Hello everyone; I´ve been sneaking a bit into ebay just for curiosity and saw something that caught my attention; VC victory flags and armbands, I didn`t knew they exist, some of them says ¨victory at (somewhere)¨ and a year, others simply says ¨resolved to win¨. what where they used for? are there fakes or something? I looked for information on th internet but all I saw where links to those items no information at all. Have a good and productive day everyone cheers :D
    7. this one is the national shield of Republica Dominicana (Dominican Republic)
    8. ok, this one seems to be Colombans, 2 spears with Colombian flag, even when ecuador and Colombian flags are almost the same I believe this 2 are Colombians because Ecuador is more usually depicted with the shield to be easily diferenced that the other one, for the spears I supuose they are for spearmen (lanceros in spanish) what I only know about them is that they are very good soldiers, gotta ask my work partner (he is colombian) to know more about it
    9. a good way to date this order is for the evolutions of the shield, sometimes the horse is runing to the right looking back, some other times he is running left and a few years later running right again, few years later he slow down and looked back while running right and so on, here is a page of the evolutions of the shield http://www.gobiernoenlinea.gob.ve/venezuela/perfil_evolucion_escudo.html if you can you may use babelfish to translate it, as far I could quickly read the shield your medal seems to be used from 1859 to 1863 The motto on the ribbons where also occasionally changed with time hope it helps cheers Linas
    10. ah, and it was made by Meyer because Venezuela has been an almost non productive country since generations ago, even clothes are imported from peru or china instead or being made here, so as most of the magazines people read. Hope it helps cheers mate
    11. Hi Linas, it says april 10th 1810, february 10th 1859, independence, federation; e.e.u.u. de venezuela is anacronism of United States of Venezuela (Estados Unidos de Venezuela) wich was the official name Venezuela had since 1864 to 1953 where the name was changed to Republic of Venezuela
    12. Interesting, seems a good place to make bussiness si I would like to be there too, that smuggling thing sounds very familiar because it happens a lot in the country I live. By the way, it makes me curious about how that booze would taste
    13. Good answer, I didn`t knew they sell weapons, that`s a very lucrative bussiness; I thought they had an order of forbiding to take out any military items out of their country or something like it but it seems like they don`t. Do you know any information link to spot fakes? some of them are really cheap stuff
    14. Hello my friends; today I want to ask you about something that I`ve been thinking for some time ago. We all know that North Korea have one of the most larger armed forces of the world with millions of military personal ready to invade or defend their country, but is also one of the most isolated countries of the world (in fact I don`t know if they really export anything, they barely have any contact with other countries but China. My question is:how is possible to see many medals, badges and even propaganda posters in online sales? articles that are dated even from the korean war, from the 70s and some ones thay says to be just 10 or 20 years old, many of such things seems to be very used. I wonder, how many of these are fakes?? and if there are originals, how t h did they came out of that country??
    15. Oh, of course send more pictures of them , they very nice and the more I know about them the more I would spot a fake, and I hope that any one who needs help with flags or is thinking in buying one may find this thread usefull.
