    1. I'm starting to feel like Oedipus, right before he blinded himself.
    2. You're right Rick, not something you see every day. Possible repair to the suspension? I'm suspicious of everything coming from this seller.
    3. I liked the clapped-out Wuerttemberg bar, the non-combat one not so much.
    4. I was coveting that Trapetz, but alas, too rich for my blood.
    5. That's some patina for sure. I know nothing about EK's, but my guess is AWS.
    6. The ultimate nightmare, a marriage of this guy and the Schraegstich Faker.
    7. You beat me to it, I was going to post that monstrosity. Who knew there were so many suppliers of 1870 EK1's?
    8. Hmm, that is a weird one. The frosting on the RAO is strange, and the JZ on the KO looks suspect. I'm not convinced with the EK either, but we have seen medal bars with this type of hook fastening.
    9. Hey, they're real and they're Saxon, that's enough for me. Any labels on the underside of that case?
    10. Good theme Rick. Unfortunately this guy's fakes, in particular the BMVO's, are extremely good.
    11. You're right about the St. Henry Rick, I don't get it either. I didn't like that colonial bar.
    12. I was watching that auction, the gilding looked to be in pretty good shape.
    13. I don't think that bar has anything to do with Hierl.
    14. It's a fake, the medal bar is a fake constructed from real medals, and all in a cutlery box.
    15. Not sure what to make of that result, collective hysteria and insanity?
    16. I've seen a couple of these in the past, and they were usually worn around the neck, contrary to statutes. I think they generally sell for a couple hundred bucks, so why people would pay the kind of money that would get you a real one is beyond me.
    17. The consensus is that this is one of the St.&L. pieces produced in the 1960's, so the price is particularly ridiculous.
    18. I have numerous Godet produced Schnallen, and the quality of the stitching is always first rate, as is the positioning of the medals so that they hang at the same level. I don't see that quality here.
    19. I saw that one, the way the EK hangs looked weird to me.
    20. Interesting, haven't seen one with the side hooks before.
    21. According to my copy of Die bayerischen Orden by Schreiber that is the silver medal for industry, which shares the same obverse as the medal for arts and sciences. Total number of awards is 45, so quite rare, but certainly doesn't justify this insane price.
