    1. it's a hoffman tv from the 40's. also has a record player; everything works (til 2009, that is) and has the manual, too!
    2. geez things got better-just got back from a house up the street. two things for free! this will make a splendid cabinet for my collection. 27 numbered drawers
    3. here are the results from my neighborhood yard sale today. $35 out of pocket. souvenier from gitmo!
    4. gee whiz, rick! looks you like got to celebrate christmas in july this year! what a priviledge to be able to play with all of these baubles-albeit for a day. what a treat!
    5. no idea about value (sorry), but i am assuming you bought both pieces together. the item to the right looks like something one would see painted on the side of a plane and for some reason it looks vaguely familiar. hmmmm...
    6. how does the join of the two frames look? probably not something for a uniform. at best, perhaps something for a box or plaque? in any case, this thingy has been put through the grinder. that's for sure!
    7. but it's perfect for a jaunt down to the corner store to buy ca-- i mean rabbit food!
    8. thank you mike, you've always been a fan of vet stuff-and have had some extremely handsome and rare items, imo. still growing almonds? i will pop some more stuff up eventually...retrograde amnesia is a bitch! cheers! p.s. those docs are unmatched. splendid! p.p.s. sascha, the red is akin to the enamel seen on observer badges. it's a strange yet beautiful shade of red. still looking!
    9. oh wow, you are distracting me, mike! very glad you are still puttering about with the vet stuff! that's a great shield...
    10. yes, sascha w. i meant it when i typed the word, 'resurfaces'. my collection is stored in three different locations and in a state of great disarray. haven't been collecting for three years. am in the middle of sorting through everything as time permits. sorry you have never seen one; hope to oblige you eventually.
    11. sure thing! and thank you for the clarification!!
    12. notice the brigade badge is marked .800 on lower arm. i think these silver-marked examples are considered to be quite scarce.
