It definitely isn't the Memel Medal and it may not be the Hungarian Commemorative Medal as there is no German Honour Cross.
My guess would be something foreign.
This looks like a photo from a Soldbuch; do you have the rest of the book? The awards should be listed there.
Kind regards

Thanks guys. I will find a black light and do the test this weekend.
How did the test come out Lew? It looks like an interesting piece to say the least and the devices are a work of art!

Can someone comment on the last medal on this bar, of Bulgaria? It's significance, issue date, etc.?
The last ribbon is for the Bulgarian Military Merit Decoration.

The exact same ribbon bar is also on sale in another thread with some other long ribbon bar that looks very clean..
The seller is also the same person..
Windu
Hi Windu,
I was curious as to what you are trying to say here so out of this curiosity I took a look at the sellers other ribbon bars for sale and in my opinion they are all genuine. In fact I would even call some of those Weimar ribbon bars uncommon at the very least.

I am not sure how you can totally evaluate a bar with only 50% of the information...
Looks like a legit Weimar ensemble to me.

Gentlemen,
I have recently received this Red Cross. I think it is an original but would like others opinions. It is the first such cross i have owned and have never seen another in hand or in a book. I believe it to be a 2nd class decoration.
Thank you

I would say it is most likely an Oldenburg FA Cross 2nd Class. The stripes do not match a St. Michael Order ribbon.
Hard to tell how many years the long service ribbon represents....

Gentlemen,
I was thinking of purchasing this Italian neck order. Compared to others i have seen it looks very "shiney" but that could be the camera? I have never had one before nor held one in my hand.
These are the only pictures i have. It comes in a green case.
-What period is this one?
-Is it a good one?
Thank you for the help.
Kind regards

What is the 5th ribbon supposed to represent? Saxony Albrecht's Order? Ostvolk Award?
Devices look good, but as Joe says they are back to front!

Hello Gentlemen,
Im trying to identificate the awards of GL Alfred Hemmann.
Picture from http://www.germanpostalhistory.com.
left to right:
1 - 1914 EK1 mit spange
2 - Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer
3 - Medaille fur Winterschlacht in Osten
4 - Silesian Eagle 2nd Class ??
5 - Wehrmacht Dienstauszeichnung 25 years
6 - Wehrmacht Dienstauszeichnung 12 years (Strange, because Hemmann was a Polizei officer from 1920 to 1935, it´s would be a Polizei Dienstauszeichnungen)
7 - Medaille zur Erinnering an den 1 Oktober 1938
Thx a lot in advance
regards
It would not be a police serive medal. This time served as a police officer went towards his total time serving his country. He was transferred to the Army and would have taken his time with him.
I have a similar group to a Wehrmacht General Major who was a police officer in the 1920s....he had the 25year Wehrmacht Cross also.
Kind regards

Pierce.... in natural , is the N°6 a sun paled red or is it a brown/orange colour???
Hi Heiko,
It looks like a brown/orange colour...but i had assumed it was just faded.
What are your thoughts? Is there a ribbon like this colour that is shown above?
Kind regards

Hi !
I think the last one could be the Reuss medal for selfless acts in wartime (Medaille für Aufopfernde Tätigkeit in Kriegszeit.
Nice bar !
Thank you...this indeed is a possibility and one i had not considered.
I assumed it was Waldeck as there is another Waldeck order on the bar.
Kind regards

The reverse. I think this bar is Godet made what with the construction and grey backing.

An eight medal bar... opinions?

Why? I do not collect Weimar bars.... but those who may be interested should not be put off by what is inferred here about the seller's goods.
