I don't think it is the Militär-Sanitäts-Orden (I don't think this came as a pin-back award).

Perhaps it could be the Fürstlich Hohenzollernscher Bene Merenti? 

Can anyone make out what award he is wearing below the EK1?

Seems he only mounted his Prussian decorations.

The second medal is possibly the Red Eagle Order 4th Class with Swords (on same ribbon as the Iron Cross).

-Honour Cross with Swords (1934)

-Civilian Long Service Decoration (for 25 years, I would guess)

-Italian Order of the Crown, Grand Officer Cross

Neck order is the Italian Order of the Crown, Commander Cross.

Also on the medal bar Anchluss Medal and Hungarian Commemorative Medal.

On the earlier medal bars there appears to be a Queen Victoria Golden Jubilee Medal.

Here are some high resolution photos which will give you an idea of how his medal bar has progressed, and maybe help fill in some of the blanks. 

Could this be the Saxe-Altenburg Jubilee Medal 1903?

Also Bavarian Jubilee Medal 1905 and Austrian Franz Joseph Jubilee Medal 1898.

As well as the Order of the Golden Fleece. 

The other German medals/decorations I am sure you can identify. 

Both the Pour le Merite and Prussian Centenary Medal are pictured.

Turkish Medals look like Liyaket and Imtiyaz with Sabers (possibly in gold?)

Here he is wearing the Centenary Medal and the British Queen Victoria Jubilee Medal.

Jim, this photo may assist your thread. The cross at the bottom of the pillow is the Hungarian Order of Merit, Commander Cross. 

Langsdorff was also a recipient of the Spanish-Moroccan Order of Mehdauia.

I would be grateful for some help in deciphering the remarks section of this R.N. Record. 

I am interested to know if this man served on the "Leda". It's not listed in the top section as a ship served on. Was he perhaps held on this ship until returned to shore in October 1905 after deserting in August 1905?

Also, is the initial rank Stoker 2nd Class, then promoted to simple Stoker?

It looks like the Austrian Order of Leopold, Grand Cross.
