      Lesotho

Hello Gentlemen, Here the Order of Mohlomi in Commander rank (it's a 3 Class Order : Knight Commander - Commander - Officer ). This ribbon is the original one when the Order was created in 1972. All Orders of Lesotho have been designed and manufactured by Skinner at the origin. It seems that nowdays the ribbon is matching the colours of the flag of Lesotho (sky blue-white-green). Emmanuel
    10. Hello Gentlemen, Here is a picture of Kuwait Order of Liberation 1st Class that was for sale early april 2009 on e-bay. Emmanuel
    11. Here are more funny and amazing medals. The PAPUA AND NEW GUINEA ELECTRICITY COMMISSION MEDAL for 10 Years Service in bronze & for 20 Years Service in silver (silvered metal). 50 Medals for 10 Years,50 Medals for 20 Years (25 awarded) & 20 Medals for 30 Years have been minted (only 2 awarded). This medal existed before 1973,but in 1973 with the achievement of internal self government the text changed for : PAPUA NEW GUINEA ELECTRICITY COMMISSION without the word "AND". We know that 150 Medals for 10 Years of the second type were minted & 20 Medals for 20 Years (9 awarded). These medals were obsolete in 1981. Emmanuel
    12. Here we have Fire Brigade Valour Medal. This medal was minted at 50 by Amor of Sydney and we know that 3 medals were awarded, all of them for the same action in 1970. Ribbon is gold/red/gold Anyone who has this medal and would agree to sell it,I will be deeply interested. I have to credit the book : "From Cowrie to Kina" by Dr William J.D.Mira in 1982 for all the 3 black & white picture I have posted here. It's a very valuable book on history of coins & medals in Papua & New Guinea published by Spink Austrlia (very hard to get in Europe). Emmanuel
    13. Here we have Papua & New Guinea Corrective Institution Valour Medal. It exist also a Papua & New Guinea Corrective Institution Meritorious Service Medal. This medal was minted 50 by Amor Sydney. Anyone who may have these medals for sale,I would be deeply interested. Ribbon is green/red/blue/red/green. Emmanuel

    15. Hello Gentlmen In 1965 Papua New Guinea (still under australian domination) instituted the Royal Papua and New Guinea Constabulary Police Valour Medal. This medal was awarded 11 times until 1975.But unattributed specimen exist (actually 50 medals were minted by Amor in Sydney). The ribbon is 5 equal vertical stripes green/red/blue/red/green Emmanuel
    16. Hello Gentlemen, This is a higher class of the Order of Communication from Republic of China (prior to 1929). I believe it's the 4the class. The cross is 52 millimeters in diameters + suspension. Emmanuel
    17. This is a picture from all 3 Classes of Military Duty together. You can clearly see the difference of manufacture. The one in the middle has a planchet of one piece + center. On the one at right the 5 pointed star is separate from the gilded leaf + center. Emmanuel
    18. This is Order of Liberation of Kuwait 2nd Class that I own. Unfortunately it miss the ribbon device, but it's better than nothing.Even if I had pay only 60 US $ for it,I never saw another one for sale in Europe. The bronze medal for Liberation of Kuwait that was awarded to US soldier (and picture has been posted by Ed haynes above) is actually the fifth class of the Order of Liberation of Kuwait. Emmanuel
    19. Hello Gentlemen The award with the central white enamel star is Military Duty Order. It is at least a 3 class awards (star or oak leaf branch on ribbon & a higher class as a neck badge). The ribbon is green with yellow stripes near edge. The ribbon shown above is not from Kuwait. It exist in various quality of manufacture by Spink,Fattorini,Singapore ELM,Italy Bomisa ? Usually metal gilt. Look the picture posted above by Lancer21,the quality of the badge is much better than the one I have (but uncorrect ribbon). Some (but few) have even been made in 14kt gold.Liverpool medal had such gold one some years ago and San Giorgio auction alos last year. Emmanuel
    20. There is also the Order of National Defense instituted in 1962. This Order has been manufactured in different quality, the first ones by Spink were very good, the much recent ones made in Singapore were of less good quality. Emmanuel
    21. Now the Order of Kuwait (Wissam al Kuwait) 5 th Class 2nd Type (insigna's were redesigned in 1992). All class insigna's are made of gold.I had the opportunity to examine one from close and they are really very well made, but small. Actually the size correspond to an european 3/4 size (+/- 30 millimeters). The leather case of issue are also of very good quality. As before the main colour of ribbon alternate with the classes, but now from bleu to orange, then to bleu,then..... Emmanuel
    22. Now the Order of Kuwait (Wissam al Kuwait) Special Class. Nowdays the insignas are in real gold (before 1990 they were in metal gilt). Emmanuel
    23. And a close-up on the breast star of Order of the Great Mubarak .
