I am finally home thanks to the efforts of my wife to re-book me through Madrid! 28 years ago today I proposed to her; a great decision on my part! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

I asked the HVAC guy if he minded painting the new furnace camoflague so I can pretend I just bought a really hot thing for my military collection

I baked a German chocolate cake for my wife's birthday today...and took photos of Oktoberfest...and bought some new stuff...come on guys you can do it!

I blame the wine committee very much

I can see a line of Imperial officers lining up to greet Rick and say thanks for "resurrecting" my bar...

I hate dropping my laptop; still working for now though

I hate fakes.

I hate leaves. Why is it that my lawn/garden attracts all the leaves? I think I'm finally rid of most of the winter mess.

I hate the freaking word "minty" to describe something's condition. Other than breath.

I love soup season... Great pea soup today!

I miss mushroom picking season in Europe. But my wife made some phenomanal mushroom ravioli with a dried wild mushroom and sage butter sause last night. Finished the remainder for breakfast. ;-)

I think way too many people take themselves way too seriously... Just sayin'

I wonder if my wife is planning on a new husband to go with her dream house. Today she suggested I change/repair several light fixtures since she has the day off and can be here if I electrocute myself. Hmmm.

I wonder if we have any distance or fitness runners among us. I've run 4 marathons and am pondering another.

I'm back, but still may be "quiet" on the Forum. At least I made some cash to spend!

I'm still alive; just taking a break from collection and focusing on some other things.

I'm sure it's just me...but things seem very quiet around here since the holidays.

In Madrid now; worked my way out of Prague, away from Frankfurt, to a place where there is no snow. I've been traveling 29 hours and counting. But looks like I might make it home tonight. 5 more hours and a flight to NY; then a 4 hour rental car drive to Washington DC.

It's Friday. That means VW trouble. Three Fridays in a row trouble with either my wife or my daughter's VW.

It's pretty quiet in the WWI Centerary section...it's going to be a long four years.

Just have to say I really dislike the new look - not an improvement at all - leaps backwards

Just when I thought I was "finished" with my Soviet wants, I see another medal bar. Good thing I'm leaving here soon.

Long lay-over in Wien; should have re-booked my tix and spent the weekend
