    1. Another GD related item, this time a Fahrlehrerschein to a soldier in 3./Pz.Gren.Rgt GD and it bears the signature of Karl Lorenz.
    2. A pre-war issued shooting award to a member of Pi.Btl 45 who would go on to fight, and survive, at Stalingrad.
    3. A civil Führerschein issued in 1939 to a soldier who would become a medic in Großdeutschland.
    4. Not to mention some great signatures that could be incorporated into the Signature Database

    6. And signed by Bernhard Neßlinger who finished the war as a Generalmajor and held the positions of Arko 35, 148 & 112 at various times.
    7. I'm not entirely sure but I think Gleisketten Kraftfahrzeug II is for a Halftrack. Gleisketten Kraftfahrzeug I - ??? (Kettenkrad type maybe?) Gleisketten Kraftfahrzeug III - ???
    8. A 1934 issued Führerschein to a member of the Polizei and who would go on to become a Luftwaffe Glider Pilot before being killed in an air crash during the build up to the raid on Tito's HQ in 1944.
    9. Two Führerschein to the same person - one being a civilian version issued in 1935 and the second being a military version issued in 1941 by IR 12. Signature on rear of the military version is that of Oberst Hugo Ribstein who went on to command 81 ID.
    10. And here is a Führerschein issued in 1936 by Artillerie-Rgt 45 and a Fahrlehrerschein issued by Art.Abt 716 in 1943.
    11. And here is a 1938 dated Führerschein issued to a future soldier in 1.(Wach)/Führer-Begleit-Btl and an eventual officer in Pz.Gren.Div GD. The uniform photo comes from his Soldbuch and there is also a post-war photo.
    12. Some outstanding examples being shown. Here is another to a future tank commander. A Fahrlehrerschein issued by Pz.Ers. u. Ausb Abt 25 to a future NCO in Pz.Rgts 8, 21 & 15. Photo comes from his Soldbuch.
    13. Yep - that belongs to Conrad Albrecht who held that position from 3rd July 1935 to 31st October 1938. He retired in December 1939.
    14. Here is another example to a founding soldier of IR GD in 1939 and was issued while he served in IR 57 in 1937-38. It contains the signature of Werner Sanne who won the Knights Cross & DKiG, went on to command 100 Lei.Infanterie-Division at Stalingrad, was captured there and died in Russian captivity in 1952.
    15. Not something I actively seek out to collect so the ones I have tend to come with other items, i.e. Soldbuch etc, but the Führerschein & Fahrlehrerschein can be a very underestimated item for collectors. Whether they are from hard to find units, contain great photos or signatures of future Generals or winners of high end awards there are plenty of reasons why they can be great additions to a papewrwork collection. So if you have one please feel free to add it to this thread. Here are two for a long serving member of Pz.Rgt 35 (1938-44). The Führerschein is a Zweitschrift issue and was issued by II/Pz.Rgt 35 and contains the signature of Wilhelm Hochbaum who won the DKiG in 1942. The Fahrlehrerschein was issued by Pz.Abt.Abw 9 in which the soldier served from 1936-38. The photo comes from his Wehrpass..
    16. Hard to say and as it is the equivalent to a Hauptmann it may be hard to find out for sure - but that first letter also looks very similar to how they used to sign their name when it began with a 'B'.
    17. Another Deutsche-Reichs-Sportsabzeichen in Bronze for a future member of 2 Panzer Division...
