I heard rumours about there being approx. 300 of these

Well, beyond that, I think chronology is the "normal" practice

This is very likely, the "MV3" symbol you find on the inside pages (in large yellow letters) is the actual abbreviation of the Labour (Trade) Union, you'll find it also on the union's badges (cfr Dr B: X21-21) Jan

Mongolia Attributed/Documented Mongolian Groups
Vatjan replied to Ed_Haynes's topic in People's Republic Mongolia
It's so nice to see a 1-2 class group to the same person, a shame there is no pic -
Normally, the order should be the one mentionned in the order booklets, that is to say: 1 Sukhbaatar 2 Order of the Red Combat Banner 3 Order of the Red Banner of Labour 4 Combat Service Order 5 Order of the Polar Star 6 Combat Service Medal 7 Honorary Labour Medal

Alas Ed, the form does not really fit the W01 badge. I think I can just make out the little plane on the top of chain. -

Mongolia ORDER OF THE RED COMBAT BANNER
Vatjan replied to Vatjan's topic in People's Republic Mongolia
Yes, I think this is indeed Jamain Lkhagvasuren. p22 Dr B's book. He received the Title of Hero of Mongolia posthumously. He apparantly joined the army at the a very early age by the age of 20 he became a General. He was very popular among the people, who called him the "Young Commander" Later on he became Defence Minister from 1960-1970 Here's another older pic of him I know, I know, mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa -
I have heard rumours that these medals are faked, but I have not received nor seen any concrete evidence. If anyone can shed some light on the matter, please do. jan
