    1. Unnumbered variation of Hyogo prefecture badge Obverse
    2. Let`s directly compare this piece with piece in posts #146-150 Obverses
    3. and now I want to show you how instable this reverse inscription and veins geography even in case of two practically identical pieces from Meiji. Here comes close relative of Meiji piece that we saw in posts #146-150. Box (nice new script )
    4. Do you see it? Canonical early Meiji script on reverse ...
    5. Hope these two pieces will give a clear idea about "Meiji shade" and "Showa shade". But the real highlight of our today broadcasting will be this very interesting piece from Meiji epoch. The box
    6. Since on other phalera forums our colleagues are trying to use shade of the green enamel for dating rising suns I think it will be usefull to examine in every detail two additional examples of 7th class. One from Meiji epoch (00s) and the other from late Showa (late 30s). First will be this exellent Meiji piece Obverse
    7. JC is talking about the medal that was posted in the other thread devoted to Chinese Red Cross medals (medal with Manchu flag on reverse) http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/54899-red-cross-medals-and-orders-of-chinese-republic/page__st__40 He think that this medal was issued by Nanking government too. Manchu flag on reverse was used because Nanking government was reluctant to recognize Manchu as a separate independent state. Well, if it was indeed issued by Nanking government, then why so many differences in obverse design? Not to mention that this puppet government was under complete control of Japanese ... They couldn't even made an extra breath without special permission from "their brothers with liberating mission"... But certainly this is one of the possibilities
    8. Simply UNREAL!!! Most likely this one was issued by city branch of Manchukou red cross. Very cool piece
