Gents, I bought this wonderful Tellgmann pic on E-bay, two weeks ago, and would much appreciate your help in identifying the W?rttemberg general shown, and in decyphering the dedication in the dreaded S?tterlin script. I can make out a reference to IR 83 and what appears to be "General der Infanterie", but even with the S?tterlin chart in hand, cannot decypher much more. Your help is appreciated! Regards, Sandro

Gentlemen, On request of a dealer and friend, I?m trying to reconstruct the bio of Generalmajor Duke Robert of W?rttemberg. This is what I have pieced together from the ranklists etc. I have, any complementary information, especially regarding the Duke?s service and his affiliation with Austria will be highly appreciated. Many thanks in advance, Regards, Sandro Ehrenrangliste 1914-1918 Generalmajor Robert Herzog von W?rttemberg (patent von 27.1.1913), a la * Suite des Dragonerregiments 26, k?niglich preussischen Generalmajor a la Suite des Ulanenregiments 9, Generalleutnant ausser Dienst. * In 1900 Rittmeister im Dragonerregiment 26 - Rangliste 1900, p 516. * In 1914 Kommandeur der 26. Many thanks, Vince. Yes, the pickelhauben are in great condition. The Max von Baden tunic came out of the collection of one of hte German museums, and has been in various collections since the 1980?s. Thanks to a good collectorfriend of mine, I have been able to trace its line back to 1987 or thereabouts. It still has one of the museum inventory tags. Regards, Sandro

And, finally, the tunic of Prinz Maximilian von Baden as Generalleutnant ? la Suite of 1. Leib Dragoner Regt. Nr. 20. Max von Baden was the last Chancellor of Imperial Germany. He had a hand in forcing Wilhelm II?s resignation, by announcing the emperor?s abdiction, without Wilhelm II?sprior consent. See: http://www.firstworldwar.com/bio/maxvonbaden.htm http://www.firstworldwar.com/source/...axvonbaden.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Maximilian_of_Baden for further info. If anyone has a pic showing Prinz Max in this particular tunic, I would like to see it (and if they care to sell it, I?ll be interested). Regards, Sandro
