    1. This is my Kriegsmarine badge collection. I will soon add a spanish cross in bronze w/o swords to it. It belonged to the same sailor as the destroyer badge that is in the display already. Thanks for looking. Regards, 2dresq
    2. Here is my Knights cross MM 20 restored with breast/cap eagles from the Luft, Heer, SS, TDB, EK1 zimmermann, EK2 unmarked Souval and the pith helmet national emblem. Hope you enjoy the layout. Regards, 2dresq
    3. You have some wonderful U-boat memorabilia. Thank you for sharing that wonderful collection.
      Regards,

    4. These tradition badge are absolutely stellar gentlemen. All very nice and in such great condition too. Thanks for sharing. The "laughing sawfish" ain't laughing no more Could have been a caption for that badge. I also especially liked that shot of the 1st U-boat flotille pin with the sub pens behind it. Again, a superb collection gentlemen. Justin 2dresq
    5. Greetings, I began collecting only about 2 years ago. I unfortunately, don't have the wonderful experiences of meeting some veterans who took part in these campaigns. I started just purchasing a couple of badges from Detlev N. I then discovered several other online shops and collectors and began purchasing. Some items/purchases such as getting a photo album can be traced to my obsession with the naval tallies. I consider myself fortunate because several members on various forums have given me the opportunities to achieve my collecting goals/dream. The mint condition Schwerin Schnellboot was a good story. A gentleman posted the badge on a forum and asked opinions; I had some questions, I was trying to identify the proper characteristics of a good Schwerin S-boat. He later posted on the thread that he was thinking of selling his KM badges and wondered fair market value. I wrote a comment to him about what I believed was the fair market value for the badge and gave him a couple of dealer sites on their pricing for such a badge. I expressed that I would love to add that badge but, I couldn't pay immediately the full amount in a single payment at that time and wished him the best with his sale. He wrote me back and told me that he had several postings from people and said that I was the only one to give him some information on the pricing for such a fine award, he had read my profile page, and decided to give me the oportunity to do a layaway plan. I have several other stories like this, where the kindness of members who have pointed me to the appropriate sources or have offered me such wonderful opportunites. I am also fortunate to have such a wonderful, loving wife, who allows me to persue this passion which has been very expensive. Thank you for all the wonderful comments fellows. 6. Thank you for the kind comment. Regards, JustinG
    7. I submit my collection of KM awards. I hope you enjoy. I am very happy. I hope to add the spanish cross which will re-unite a sailors destroyer badge posted in this photo. Regards, Justin 2dresq
    8. Two nice and in high demand tallies. Congrats Peter B. Regards, 2dresq
    9. Greetings, I have become interested in wanting to obtain the star medals: The Atlantic, Air Crew, France and Germany, Italy, Pacific, etc... My question is this: Is there any construction differences on a re-issue vs. the wartime non-addressed model? I have seen such a difference in price for some and others seem to have an almost bronze/copper look and then there areothers that have a more shiny, and polished look. Is there a significant price difference between the war time vs a reissue? I ask because I continually see some stars, such as the Atlantic Star have an elevated price, but in my novice opinion, they appear to be not of that period. Can anyone guide me in this area? Were there different makers for these awards; is that the explanation for the varied appearances? Did the material to construct change due to war time requirements for certain metals/alloys in these pieces? Can anyone share some advice for someone who is looking to expand their collection? Regards, JustinG 2dresq Here is my only two examples so far. Thank you for your time
    10. Besides the case, I don't know where there might be maker marks on the medal itself. I mostly collect imperial German and Third Reich militaria. Can you point me to a location on the cross or clasp that might be a maker mark? Regards, JustinG
    11. The Case with the maker. Thanks again! 2dresq JustinG
    12. Greetings, I thought I would share my commanders LOH. Hope you all like it. Thanks for looking. Regards, 2dresq
    13. I thought I would post my tallies of the two Linienschiff's I have. I am trying to learn how to use the scanner and program to be able to fit the entire tally in one scan. I did not fold the tally for the shot. I just placed it diagonally in the scanner to ensure I could get the most letters. I will continue to keep working on that so I can share full length scans. Regards, JustinG 2dresq
    14. Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. This has become my passion lately. Regards, JustinG 2dresq
    15. I thought I would share some new tallies I have gotten since posting. Regards, JustinG 2dresq Seems like an interest in this area has been increasing. I just laid out over 500euro for the Graf Spee. This was a good deal I thought! I still am looking/waiting for a chance at a some heavy cruisers and the Schlachtschiff tallies. Have a long wait it seems. (sigh) :)
    16. Greetings, Thanks for commenting on the tallies. You have a difficult one to have because it seems that even the non KM insignia collectors want to have the Scharnhorst and Gneisneau tallies.
Look forward to seeing your examples.
Tallies have become an interest reborn in many other collectors it seems. Best of luck to you and thanks,
      JustinG

    17. Some nice tallies and a nice way to show them with some photos/postcards of the various ships. I too am very much a KM tally lover. I have been working on my collection for a little under a year. Got some nice ones. Those are some great tallies fellas! Regards, 2dresq
    18. Very beautiful. Really nice detail. Agree with all comments above (hard to upgrade, perfect, Case in great shape) Congrats. 2dresq
    19. I originally had a hesitation on this tally because of the closeness to the edging of the letters on the upper and lower edges of the letters as seen on the posterior side of the tallies. In my experience, I have not seen a tally like that which turned out to be genuine. However, I thought this might still have a good chance as this appeared from the scan to be a cellion tally? This was my questioning. I can not provide better pictures/scans because I don't own this tally. There is a seller on Ebay.de that sells reproduction tallies I didn't see a hipper tally but he has several of the larger ships Kreuzer, Panzerschiff, Schlachtschiff listed. This tally is not from that particular seller. Is my assumption correct? Can I see a reverse scan of your Hipper tally Gordon? Thanks for your consideration and expertise. Regards, 2dresq
    20. Congrats on a wonderful pristine badge. Very nice Regards, 2dresq
    21. Here again is a scan of the tally
    22. Lets try this again. A larger view. Regards, 2dresq
    23. Here's the full tally. Regards, 2dresq
