    1. Dear Ed, The reason I asked for those pieces on Posts #29 and #30 to be deleted is because Glenn seems to have identified them as being Russian znacheks (?) and indeed these two seem to be the only ones that have those marks and the 20 kopeks price on the reverse, so apparently they don't belong in this thread. My fault, sorry By identifying the 3 flags on the one on Post #29 Eric confirms that at least this one is certainly not Mongolian, so I guess we could eliminate that one from this thread. The one on Post #30, despite having a Mongolian flag on it, according to Glenn is also a Russian 20 kopecks znachek (?) so I guess it could go either. That one from Post #39 is different. No marks or price on the reverse. And the simple fact it's written in Spanish doesn't exactly mean it's Cuban rather than Mongolian. I also have a mini-book with the Mongolian Constitution in Spanish, made in Mongolia, so this one could perfectly be Mongolian after all. Dolf
    2. Many thanks for identifying those flags, Eric. Really appreciate it Dolf
    3. Well, if indeed Glenn is right and it is confirmed by other experts that both pieces posted on Posts #29 and #30 are Russian and NOT Mongolian, in order to keep this thread well organised maybe some Moderator with the power to do so could perhaps delete both Posts #29 and #30, as well as Posts #31 + #33 + #36 and #38 + obviously this last one too (#42). Just to keep the thread clear and clean. Thanks, Dolf
    4. I don't know why (well in fact I guess I do know but as such opinion could be considered "political" better shut my mouth ) but I feel kind of fascinated by these Socialist period Friendship Badges/Pins "Workers of the World Unite" kind of reminds me of some good old days of my youth when I still used to believe in something... Well, guess I'm getting old, bitter and hopeless... Thanks buddy, Dolf
    5. Thank You, for starting these Dr. Battushig's by category threads, an excellent idea to get this stuff well organised. Cheers, Dolf

      Figures...

Another couple of close-ups, these ones from Norman Schwarzkopf, comparing with a pic of the real one. Dolf
    7. I believe I've read in another thread that you own Dr. Battushig's book, am I right? In such case you have the answer to your question if you just check page 123. Dolf

Well, compared to a pic of the real Galland apparently I painted him looking a bit older than he might be, but than again when I painted it I didn't have Internet and all that and only used a pic from a Janes book as a model. Dolf

      Figures...

Have a few of mine posted here, only Verlinden 120mm and one Verlinden 200mm (Adolf Galland): http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=5816 Just a couple of close-ups of Galland figure. Dolf
    10. Rick, Yes, that O 01 is indeed a very nice piece, and AFAIK not an easy one to find And even rarer with the Doc! Dolf

Dave, Stephen, WOW!!! Wonderful job guys! Outstanding! Dolf
    12. O 17 The Public Inspector of the Mongolian Railway. Dolf
    13. O 09 The Thousand engine-driver. 400.000Km. Dolf
    14. And finally one of my favorites. Another NIB, but obviously Cuba - Mongolia Friendship. Notice that this one could be Cuban, as it's written in Spanish: "Granja Cubano Mongolesa", which means Cuban Mongolian Farm. Dolf
    15. Ok, thanks. But at least on the one on Post #30 there is a Mongolian flag Dolf
    16. NIB Cuba - Mongolia Friendship. This one I can identify Dolf
    17. One more NIB with the Mongolian flag and again another one I can't identify. Dolf
    18. One more NIB with the Mongolian flag and another one I can't identify, with a long vertical pin. I guess I should check some "flags of the world" site... Dolf
    19. Thank you for the clarification, Glenn! I bought it from Mongolia, as being Mongolian, that's why I included it here. So I guess it's the same for the one I posted on Post #30?! Dolf
    20. A nice NIB, with a Mongolian flag and another I can't identify, also a date, 1956 (my birthday date btw ) and a pigeon (peace symbol?). Dolf
    21. And one more NIB. This one shows the USSR and Mongolian flags, and what seems to be a rocket. Space Friendship and/or cooperation? Not sure if what looks a "39" is a date or just letters! Again both obverse and reverse because again there are some marks on the reverse. Dolf
    22. And one more NIB: Red Star on center with 40 inside it, referring to the dates on the bottom, 1945 - 1985, and with 3 flags. Anyone knows those flags? Obverse and reverse. I posted the reverse of this one because it has some marks. Dolf
