    Everything posted by Dolf

    1. F 17, Division of Juvenile Crime. Dolf
    2. F 14, The Outstanding Worker (correction facility). (Prison guards? ) Dolf
    3. Moving to F 12, Police Academy Badge. Dolf
    4. Same, reverse: Dolf
    5. F 05, 50 Years of the Police (1921-1971). Obverse: Dolf
    6. Ed, Ok, here we go for a few of these Police Badges, F category on Dr. Battushig's book. I have F 02, F 03, F 04, F 05, F 07, F 12, F 14, F 17, F 21 (including the NIB variation you posted), F 26 and F 27. So I'm posting only those you haven't posted yet, except for F 21, you'll see why. Starting with F 03, The Best Policeman (mainly a different coat of arms than F 02). Dolf
    7. Ed, Yes, I guess it's a strong possibility. Or those with a "silver" look may just have been more worn than those with a yellow "golden" look! Dolf
    8. Finally, two NIBs that for obvious reasons I believe they belong on this Border Badges category. That's it folks, no more Badges on this category as far as I'm concerned. Please complete the gaps here if you have any others on this E-Border Guards category. Dolf
    9. No E 15 and as Ed already posted a E 16 and a E 17 I move on to E 18, 70 Years of the Border College. Dolf
    10. Ed already posted a E 13, so I move on to E 14, which he also posted, but as mentioned earlier I have two different "variations" of this one. I think the one on the right on my pic is like the one Ed posted (with a "silver" look), the other on the left has a more yellow "golden" look. Is the one with a "silver" look just more worn? I guess it's possible as the reverse of both my Badges look almost the same. Anyway here are both. Dolf
    11. E 12. The Glory of the Border Guard. No S/N or mm on the back, so just the obverse pic. Dolf
    12. E 11. The Honored Border Guard. Nothing interesting on the reverse so just the obverse pic. Dolf
    13. Reverse of E 10. Nothing really much except there is something written on the suspension. Dolf
    14. E 10. The Honored Badge. Obverse. Dolf
    15. Reverse of this 2nd one posted. Dolf
    16. Another E 09. Where the previous one has a "silver" color, this one has a yellow "golden" color, including the reverse of the Badge. Dolf
    17. E 09. The Chief of the Border Guard. Dolf
    18. Reverse of E 08 posted above on Post #10. Dolf
    19. Dave, Great pics! Not sure what you mean by a "light box", could it be something like this? This one isn't mine, but it's a hand made one from a friend. Thanks, Dolf
    20. If not using a scanner and prefer a digital camera, then I guess I entirely subscribe Dave's post. Moreover you should get rid of all those areas surrounding the main subject (the awards) by cropping your pics, as they use a lot of space and are useless. But imho a scanner usualy produces better results Dolf
    21. These are some of the next ones I intended to post after dinner I have a couple of "variations" of E 14, will post later + a few others Dolf
    22. Thanks Ed. In fact re-reading your initial Post I was wondering if you wanted a thread containing only the first few Border Badges, kind of from E 01 to E 06, or if it's ok to post every (available) Border Badge on the E section of Dr. Battushig's book! Please let me know. I have a few more and if it's ok I can post them later. (Dinner time now ) Dolf
    23. Close up of the cover. Unfortunately my old scanner really don't like gold or silver colors!!! Actually the letters in the real Doc are perfectly visible and very golden color! The real color of the cover is a kind of dark brown. Dolf
    24. The Doc for this one. Inside. Dolf
