      An older collector has asked me to help him dispose of his collection. He had very eclectic tastes and tried to acquire everything. This is his FFL insignia collection.       I have been looking for a nice horizon blue French officer tunic at a decent price for some. I had some luck recently at a local militaria show. I believe this is a Captain of Engineers with overseas and wound chevron. I would like to know what the pair of vertical loops are for, possibly a War Academy badge. All comments welcome. Garth

      Recently acquired this SA Korean War pair. The UN Korea is the standard english language version. Both the medals are edge named in impressed block letters P5269 V M F PREVOST. My question would be what is the meaning the letter P preceeding the man's service number ? Garth

      This is what is know as a middi rating. They were patriotic pieces popular roughly from WW1 to the early 30's. There is a line of woman's and children's clothes made to look like naval uniforms that these patches were used on. Garth

      I recently picked up another ESdG badge. The first one I aquired is a silver with the man's name and promotion number on the reverse. The recently aquired one appears to be gold gilt with no name. The attchment pins are similar but with slight differences. My question: Why is there a difference? TIA, Garth
