    1. Jim If techniques is what you are interested in then I would suggest that you talk someone into doing a "Work Bench" session. You know, step by step progress with photos and a breif write up explaining the finer points. If popular you could expand it to include the other areas of Military Modelling. Personally I would love to see someone like Stephen Lawson do this with one of his aircraft. Or, I think I remember a thread somewhere that you are no slouch at doing armour kits. That would be interesting too........ Mark
    2. And this is of a "Wolfen". Like I said - I watched too much sci-fi as a kid. [attachmentid=28527]
    3. This is another lot of Orc's like the first but from a different manufacturer. [attachmentid=28525]
    4. Stephen If you are interested in selling it then I would suggest checking out this website: www.theminiaturespage.com It is dedicated to nothing but people who paint mini's and also game. They have a classified section there and you should be able to list it. As for Sci-fi I should explain about these figures before posting. I grew up in the 60s watching Combat and Outer Limits, with some Twilight Zone and Night Gallery thrown in for good measure. I could never get enough of any of them. To this day it has stuck with me. So while I collect military and paint military figures, I also have some sci-fi too. I wish I could take credit for painting these but I am not that good. These are good examples though of what a really talented artist can do. [attachmentid=28524]
    5. Stephen Your castle is fantastic! There are gamers who play Samauri Wars who would kill for it! Especially if it breaks down as you say it does. Do you have any more pictures of it broken down into its sections? You need to add some figures to it soon.
    6. I know this is a "Military" club but does anyone want to see some off the wall sci-fi figures?
    7. Laurence You had asked about 28mm scale. The scale works slighly different than with models. The scale is measured in mm from foot to eye level. The problem is that no two manufacturers 28mm are the same. Some are on the large size and rather fat while others claim they are 28mm but only measure in around 25mm. A 25mm figure should equate out to 1/72nd scale. 28mm is closer to 1/54th scale. Finally some more German Colonial troops and askaris. [attachmentid=28404]
    8. I got out a couple of my WWI German Africa series. First up is a few German Naval types and askaris. [attachmentid=28403]
    9. Saxons. [attachmentid=28402]
    10. Some Early Imperial Romans. [attachmentid=28400] [attachmentid=28401]
    11. Normans. [attachmentid=28398] [attachmentid=28399]
    12. A Celt Chariot and foot soldiers. [attachmentid=28395] [attachmentid=28396]
    13. And some more Russian Byzantine Klibanophoroi cavalry. [attachmentid=28394]
    14. Here are some Russian Byzantines circa 1000 AD. [attachmentid=28393]
    15. My best advice for painting is to hire someone else to do it for you Seriously though, like most things it take years to build up any talent doing these. Personaly I think I stink at it compared to others I see. But then I look at some of the figures I painted a few years ago and I realize that I am slowly getting better so I stick with it. Ancients were asked for and ancients it is. First up is a selection of Vikings. [attachmentid=28392]
    16. If I get time I will dig out some of my WWI Africa range. I also have Normans, Saxons, Celts, Byzantine and some Imperial Roman I could post if anyones interested. Mark

    20. Here are a couple of two early war German mounted officers. [attachmentid=28298] [attachmentid=28299]
    21. Here are a couple of an early war German Artillery gun and crew. [attachmentid=28296] [attachmentid=28297]
    22. Next up is some early war French Cavalry. [attachmentid=28295]
    23. David Thank you. Ok, if I am not going to get any work done today than playtime it is. These are all 28mm scale. First up, a German A7V and a few figures for scale. [attachmentid=28293]
    24. This is of a French Renault FT-17. Same scale. Time permitting I will add other photos later. Any particular periods anyone want to see? [attachmentid=28288]
    25. Another view of the same piece. Sorry about the focus - my camera does not like to zoom that close! [attachmentid=28287]
