    1. Right, the "Lippe-book" confirms this number of awards...by the way...there were two makers of these crosses: J.Godet & Sohn and C.F.Zimmermann I like these crosses also very much...last year I missed the chance to get one (because of the price) Greetings Solomon
    2. No,no...my collection from Prussia is much bigger than from Lippe-Detmold. There are also many photos and a few documents from my family (e.g. from my great grandfather) and some WW II-awards (but I don?t really invest in this time) But because I live next to Detmold, this principal is my favorite... Greetings Solomon
    3. Hi Claudio, the prices for these awards of a small principality are high, that?s right. But when you look at the number of awards and at the possibility how many still today exist, IMO the prices are quite fair. For example, there is a nice golden merit-cross (Leopold-Orden) from C.F. Zimmermann at the bar you found in a catalogue...this cross was awarded only 107 times Because of that I don?t think the price was too high... (Maybe I?m also one of the insane collectors you mentioned ) Greetings Solomon
    4. Really very, very nice bar of a non-combatant The person who sold this rare example from Lippe-Detmold must be a crazy guy, I would never do that Greetings Solomon
    5. Oh..there is one nice case, i?ve forgotten....no comment...guess what it is for...
    6. ...and, last but not least...silver merit medal Lippe-Detmold
    7. Prussia red cross medal 3th class (new style for the zinc medal!)
    8. I just got married...I?m not searchinig any longer for a woman to live with... There is a problem with the archives...the documents seem to be locked and they are not shown to the public. ? don?t know the reason. Maybe I can find something in the archive of Lippe-Detmold. Greetings Solomon
    9. Hmmm...nobody any information for me? I only found one person, who awarded this order....Max Reger, a singer ("Kammersaenger"). But I?m searching for a woman.... Greetings Solomon
    10. Thank you Hmm...i think we?ll need a babysitter for the baby in the future...my collection is allready grown-up By the way..how far is "not far away" ? Best wishes, Solomon
    11. A mini-bar with this medal...togehther with the medal 1870/71 for non-combatants (very rare with the ribbon for combatants and no doubt...i also have the medal-bar!!!) and medal for long-service Greetings Solomon
    12. My wife only asks how many pakets the next week will arrive...about the costs I better say nothing But in June I?ve to reduce my buying...we?ll become a baby Greetings Solomon
    13. Now the set is almost complete, exept the name and the document...and of course the medal bar (Again thank you, stogieman!) This fitting lapel button just arrvied (it belongs to this cross, but it was sold seperate on ebay): -cross for war-aid Prussia -Honor cross 4th class (2.div.) without swords Lippe-Detmold -war honor medal (ribbon for non-combatants) lippe-Detmold -Long service medal Prussia -General honor cross (!) Prussia -Red cross medal Prussia Greetings Solomon
    14. For Lippe-Detmold these numbers are quite large Other awards from this principality are 150 and less times awarded...very hard to find and very expensive. Greetings Solomon
    15. Hello, really nice awards and bar you have in your drawer After showing you my nice awards from Lippe and Schaumburg-Lippe (not to forget the iron cross 1870 2nd class), there are still some nice rare examples to be discovered This miniature I love very much -Order of the crown 3th class -Order of the Red Eagle 4th class -cross for war-aid Prussia Greetings Solomon
    16. Hello again, I allready mentioned it in my article "Order for art and Science 2nd class Lippe-Detmold" (Link) ?the set was incomplete?now it?s complete again : The woman, who awarded the "Lippische Rose 2nd class with oakleaves" also got the Order for art and science 2nd class Schaumburg-Lippe(cross-design, awarded since 1902 till 1918) This order was spent in 1899 by Earl Stephan Albrecht Georg, who lived from 10. Octobre 1846 till 29. April 1911. This piece is made of silver, the size is 37,5 mm x 52,2 mm (ring included) The ring goes through the apple, the crown hangs moveable at the cross. The center at the front and back are seperate mounted. The design of the crown is the same, you can find at the golden merit medals Lippe-Detmold, made by Carl B?sch, Hannover. So i?m quite sure, that he also manufactured these orders. The ribbon, of course in a bow-style for a woman, is gold-red-gold colored and of course the original. In the golden stripes you can find thin silver-made threads. On the front-center you can read ?F?R KUNST UND WISSENSCHAFT? (for art and science...). On the shield you can find the typical rose of Lippe (Detmold and Schaumburg). On the rear center you read the initials ?GR? for the earl Georg. I?m sorry, but i don?t know yet the number of awards, but i?m sure it?s comparable to the order from Lippe-Detmold...especially the number of women who awarded this order . Hope you like it, too... If anybody has more information, i would be very happy to read it. Greetings Solomon
    17. This would be great...i?ll keep an eye open for it But at the moment another even rarer order on a bow-style-ribbon is on its way into my collection ..I?ll show it, when it has arrived. Greetings Solomon
    18. Again a look into the statutes (I hope, I translated it understandable): Statutes war honor medal from 25. October 1915 [...] ? 2. [...] The war honour medal (on the combatant-ribbon) has to be mounted at the bar before all other awards from Lippe-Detmold, (on the non-combatant-ribbon) before all medals but direct after all orders from Lippe-Detmold, but women have to wear it on a bow-style ribbon in the awarded colours at their left shoulder. ( ? 2. I never saw a medal on a bow-style ribbon, it might be very, very rare...in this way the style of the ribbon of my medal does not fit to the document Greetings Solomon
