    1. Post 1,000 of this thread. Hoping the next millenium comes faster with more participation. An unknown plastic tinnie.
    2. Benten I like the propaganda picture you show. Looking great after bearing 3 children!
    3. A most inconspicuous Haken Kreuz on this one. Even more so than your Christmas tinnie Benten. Robert
    4. benten Do you know if the castle Hohenwerfen you show in the picture would be open to the public? I wonder about this because a gentlemen I work with lives a short drive from Salzburg. He lives here is the US now but still owns a home in Austria. Are castles such as these privately owned or municipal? I would give anything to spend the night in a place such as this. Anyway, another tinnie. VDA Tag des Deutchen sp.? Volkstums. Do you know what that letter is between the c and the t? Robert
    5. Benten Nice art on your tinnie but there is no snow as of yet. Gefunde Frauen Durch Leibesubungen. Take Care Robert PS Any ideas about what this particular design was supposed to represent?
    6. Joe The maker logo appears to me to be an S with an O intertwined in the middle of the S. I recognize it but I have to search thru my other stuff to find another matching logo. Talk later. Robert
    7. Joe Your nice example seems to match the one in Nick's group. I wonder if Aurich is the only maker to use their markings in the attaching plate? Thanks for showing. Notice the distinctive pebbling on yours. Merry Christmas Robert
    8. The far right is Jungvolk (pre HJ) The far left is Frauenschaft. The tinnie I can't tell. How about a scan of just the tinnie front and back? If you put it in tinnie section I am sure it can be identified. Merry Christmas Robert
    9. My example has a rather unusual maker's mark. Any one have a clue? Don, who does your MM represent? Robert PS I have a stick-pin version as well. I will wait to see all of the pinbacks first before I post it.
    10. I don't think I have put this one on before. Benten, your deer teeth look the same as mine. Tartar and all!! DAF Flensburg.
    11. Nick Thank you for showing your RAD items. Maybe we could start a thread on RAD to show all of the diferent makers and their design characteristics. Maybe start out with Arbeits Dank pin back...Arbeit Dank stick-pin both in red and yellow etc. etc. We could probably go a long way with a thread like that to include cap badges and other regalia. It would be a great learning experience for this still relatively inexpensive section of our hobby. Have a good day and night. Robert
    12. Pete Thank you for taking the time to post your nice tinnies. My scanner is so slow that I would have taken days to do that many. I show now a curious one. I would say a Winter Releif pin. I post the reverse also because of the marking. I beleive the attaching pin is a replacement though. This was the first of these that I had seen. Robert
    13. Nick Christmas comes early for you. I am curious about the RAD badge of honor in stick-pin. When you have the time and inclination, could you post a shot of the reverse. I have the pinback version which is marked so I am wondering about the stick-pin version. Also, is that a tie clasp I see in there as well? Merry Christmas and thank you for this forum. Robert
    14. Benten This tinnie I found in Manion's Volume 3. Besides describing its' design there are some added remarks. "General WHW contribution badge without a date implying it was issued on a non-serial year basis for contributions." Maybe the Tieste reference books (which I unfortunately do not have) would mention a date/dates. Either way it is not an often encountered badge. I am still looking for it. Perhaps Pete would know more or have the Tieste reference available. Thanks for showing. Robert
    15. Thank you gents. That seems logical to me. I wasn't sure what the images were. Any ideas on the die placed on the first tinnie I had shown? Sorry to make so many inquiries. Thanks Again Robert
    16. Here is another period tinnie that is also hard to pinpoint. It appears that there are 2 axles on the tinnie so I wonder if maybe SWA is an axle company? have a nice weekend.
    17. Benten The DJH shows no indication of date but has the period pin attachment setup. My provider was down last night so I had a little time to scan some more obscure pieces. I beleive they are all period but are of the unknown variety. Thank you as always for your imput on the symbolism. Robert
