Don Nice! I wonder what the signifigance of the cross is above the stag? As always thanks for posting such seldom seen pieces. Robert Stephen I am learning a lot today. Thank You. I don't know how others feel but this is my favorite time to be on this forum when we are all on at once. I t seems to happen only every other week or so. I am grateful.

Stephen And this was the organization that came after Don's example. The good propaganda minister manuevered and absorbed some other organizatioms including Dons to create the RKK? After this point of integration Herr Rosenberg's influence was reduced? If memory serves. Nice pin by the way. I have been after one of these for a time with the nice attachment device. Were the later examples RZM marked would you know? I am not going to hold my breath but maybe another member would have an example with an RZM mark. Thank you for showing. Have a nice weekend. Robert

Gerd That one is the Deutscher Luftsportverband or DLV. I have not seen this in stick-pin form. Only lapel pins and and occasional pinback. Thanks for showing it. I beleive this organization was to keep flying going since an Air Corps was banned per Versailles. A club. Hope this helps. I can post my lapel version tommorow as I'm off to work. Robert

The haken Kreuz looks raised on the KdfK stick-pin as well. Overall a higher quality of manufacture. I would assume there wern't many diferent makers of this particular badge and not all that many produced. The period needle design and craftmanship of the stick-pin would steer me in that direction. I do not own one of these but the stick-pin example is the one I search for. I will be attending a show in 3 weeks and I will keep my eyes peeled for both types. Will report back with any details. The haken is raised correct? Robert

[attachmentid=53897][attachmentid=53898] I thought I would scan and post this one since it was in the same box as a previous post. Moderator feel free to move it to another thread. Is this organization still in existence? The lack of a Haken Kreuz might mean that the design hasn't changed over the years. Robert

DJ Joe Well now we have 3 diferent badges all with what appear to be diferent characteristics. Although Cone's examples do not feature high lettering like your example I would say that if the 3 pieces were sitting next to each other for sale at a table at a show I would probably try to acquire your example because it shows what looks to me like honest wear both front and rear. The fact that you have had it for a long time would mean to me that it never was artificially aged. It was worn a bit and then probably hidden or bounced around in a box for 15-20 years. I hope more examples will be shown. Surely other members have this badge in their collections. Robert

[attachmentid=53814][attachmentid=53815] Gents Here is my example. If memory serves, Does Cone not state that Redo continued to produce these after the war? Combineed with the M9 controversy and the fact that just recently I saw a box of these for sale makes me very uncomfortable with this badge. I guess with this badge in particular one needs to try to feel comfortable with what they have. I wonder if we will ever learn more information about these. My hope is that one day some new information will shed some new light. I place mine in the "awaiting furthur details" box. Have a nice weekend. Robert

[attachmentid=53449][attachmentid=53450] Thanks for showing Don and Joe. I have been looking for a nice KfdK for a while. The majority I see are in salty condition and pin back version. Very nice. Was KfdK not Alfred Rosenbergs' organization? Joe has a nice original DDAC. Those are heavily faked. And speaking of Rosenberg........have a nice day.

Don I too have little knowledge about this as well. When it comes to the military aspects of the era, I am in the dark. I basically liked the design and thought it would make an interesting conversation piece (women drivers and all) Logically, it would have to be late war as all of the male drivers were probably sent to the front. Since I have no Heer badges in my collection I think I will place it with my NSF, NSV, and RADwJ items. Maybe a bump up to the Heer section might help stimulate some discussion.
