    1. Greetings Markgraf, This is not my area, but I believe that that is šajkača of Ground forces officer used in period between 1997 and 2000 (?). Cap emblem is for soldiers not officers. Here's a picture of complete uniform from the Army of Republika Srpska memorial room.
    2. Take a look at the head of the eagle and especially it's very unique eye, that also goes for the detail on the tip of the wing. I have never seen eagle with something similar. Notice the hole in the tail and the detail on the edges, looks just like on Scheid models. Cross in the central medallion is made separately. And for the end back medallion, take a look at the shape underneath the red enamel, similar to Scheid but different.
    3. Greetings gentlemen, I was never able to correctly identify the producer of this Order of the White Eagle (4th class) so every comment is more than welcome. It has been in my family for generations and I have a copy of recipient's military record which of course has a complete list of all of his decorations. Based on that I believe that this particular order was awarded before WW1 (maybe even before the Balkan Wars). At first I thought that it was made by Bertrand but as far as I know they weren't producing White Eagle in that period, also their orders differ in many details. Then I thought that it might be Scheid, my example has some similarities with their orders but also couple of differences. All in all I have never seen example like this. Unfortunately it has no hallmarks and it can't be found in the book "Orders and decorations of Serbia and Yugoslavia 1859 - 1941" by Pavel Car and Tomislav Muhić. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_05_2013/post-7937-0-14721100-1369438339.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_05_2013/post-7937-0-79337200-1369438654.jpg

    11. Greetings geneva teacher and welcome to the forum, Although it is true what you are saying new world is actually right because the medal is from WW1, year 1915 is inscribed on it under the words "For Bravery". The white flag that you have mentioned can be seen here: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/57266-exhibition-100-years-since-the-battle-of-kumanovo/?p=531505 Kind regards, Radmilo
    12. Igor, thanks for sharing your opinion. I agree about the glue, I did not notice it before, sloppy job. But maybe the glue was used because the swords were loose. On the image bellow I have marked two small cylindrical parts which I suspect were used in the first place to hold the swords. Crowns on the eagles can't be seen because of the swords, but they are visible from the back. Medallions are a real puzzle to me, just look how small are the cross and the letters, also look at the shapes under the red enamel, really unusual. The crown looks a bit like a crown I saw on one Greek Order of the Redeemer, and it's and the floral motifs on the swords go very well together. I agree that it's dented to the left, but this could be a consequence of extensive use, fall or something similar. It also looks a bit smaller compared to other crowns used on this decoration. All in all a very unusual order. Regards, Radmilo
    13. Great images of the Medal for Long and Zealous Service to the State (all 4 classes), Medal for Agricultural Merits (all 3 classes), Medal for Merits in Education and Culture (all 3 classes) can be found here: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/58505-medals-of-federal-republic-of-yugoslavia-now-on-ebay/
    14. Greetings Taras, Thanks for putting those images here. I saw them last night, seller had some interesting FRY pieces before and now he's also offering couple of orders. These are the best images of those medals that I've seen so far. Not that many of them were awarded so it's a little strange to see all of them on one place at the same time. I will put a link to your topic in Megan's topic that deals with FRY decorations : http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/54281-federal-republic-of-yugoslavia-post-1990/ Regards, Radmilo
    15. What do you gentlemen think about this one? Differs from typical Bertrand and Huguenin types in many details. I don't remember seeing a crown like that on Serbian decoration before and the swords look like the Austrian type used for example on Takovo Cross. Images are from ebay where it got sold last month (I hope no one will mind me using them). http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_05_2013/post-7937-0-49811700-1368640610.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_05_2013/post-7937-0-08288300-1368640635.jpg
    16. Thanks for sharing that with us. So just as I suspected the box was probably custom made. But still who might be the producer of the order itself? It's quite different from the other producers known to me. Could it be that the order was also custom made by some British producer? I saw just a couple of Sorlini made eagles, all without swords, and they also looked very different...

    24. Greetings Megan, All of these images are from the book Decorations (of Serbia, Montenegro, Yugoslavia and Republic of Srpska), I found them online and as far as I am concerned feel free to use them. But I have not scanned the book myself neither did I upload it. I have uploaded couple of images of one more FRY decoration in my possession, they can be found here: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/55777-fr-yugoslavia-medal-for-merit-in-the-fields-of-defense-and-security/ I won't mind if you use them on your website, on the contrary. Kind regards, Radmilo
    25. I have never seen White Eagle like that before, neither with swords nor without them. Any thoughts on the producer? Considering that I do not recognize the producer I can't claim anything about the box, but take a look at the last picture, the order seems to fit perfectly in it. Maybe it was custom made. Can anyone ID the producer of the box (based on the logo)? British?
