    1. Bomber clasp in wear.. If this 'Observer' had been wearing his ribbon bar, the clasp would be placed directly above it.

    3. I would agree with you, in principal... however, I have come across unmarked examples, in aluminium, probably due to the replacement of the reverse die.
    4. "John, is your Assmann also marked DRGM?" Certainly is, F.. For those who are unfamiliar with this marking, DRGM - (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster) - Nationally used pattern (pre-?45). It showed that an item had the official approval of the government and was commended for nationwide use.

Long service medals (for all branches of the armed forces) come in the following. 4 year....Silver medal 12 year...Gold medal 18 year...Sliver cross 25 year...Gold cross 40 year...25 year gold cross with oak leaf bar. Each service award has a ribbon attachment in the form of a National eagle (Army/Kriegsmarine) Luftwaffe eagle (Luftwaffe). The colour of the eagle will be the same as the grade of award. As an example, a 12 year service bar.
    12. WW1 EK2, Cross of Honour 1914-18 (with swords), 4 year service medal.
    13. Cross of Honour 1914-18 (with swords), 18 year service cross, 4 year service medal.

    15. Exactly what I was thinking... "show us yours" then sits back and makes us do all the hard work. Put that glass of wine down and get that camera working, Fran?ois.
