I found similar badge pictures on Rich Catalano’s awesome site under Imperial Maritime Association. This badge however was not pictured so I’m assuming it is a higher class. Hi everyone, I just acquired this badge and have a question. I always thought these came in black lacquer cases. Also the pin on the back as well as the layout of the kanji is different. Is this just a late war badge with its proper case? Thank you all very much for any input. Tom
