    1. Hallo Chris, I believe the Baltic Cross information is already posted on the site Kevin in Deva.
    2. Hallo Paul Here is a picture of a Baltic Cross II class, The first Class has a pin to the rear. IRON DIVISION MEDAL picture from an old ebay auction years ago. Can you confirm if the 3rd ribbon (Schwarzburg?) has blue stripes? as they look black in the picture, try looking closely to the rear of the bar, my ribbon book is pocket size, if it is Schwarzberg it seens to belong to: Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, ribbon number 578 = Furstlich Schwarzburgisches Ehrenkreuz RS Chiffre >>FG<< 2744I Kreuz I Class mit Eichenbruch, 1915. 2745 Kreuz II Class. 2748 Kreuz III Class. 2751 Kreuz IV Class. 2754 Goldene Ehrenmedaille 1857 - 1918. 2755 Goldene Ehrenmedaille mit Eichenbruch 1914 / 1915. 2756 Silberne Ehrenmedaille 1866 - 1918. 2757 Silberne Ehrenmedaille mit Eichenbruch 1914 / 1915. There are a couple of more Class variations with swords etc. Also Schwarzburg-Sonderhausen: Furstlich Schwarzburgisches Ehrenkreuz, Chiffre >>GFC<< 2782 Kreuz II Class. 2784 Kreuz III Class. 2787 Kreuz IV Class. 2790 Goldene Ehrenmedaille 1857 - 1918. 2791 Goldene Ehrenmedaille mit Eichenbruch 1914 / 1915. 2792 Silberne Ehrenmedaille 1866 - 1918. 2793 Silberne Ehrenmedaille mit Eichenbruch 1914 / 1915. There are a couple of more Class variations with swords etc. but I think its for this medal in zink, late War (see attached pictures again from an old auction on ebay and in my reference files ). 3. Hallo noted I took the liberty to brighten your pictures so identification might be easier. Kevin in Deva
    4. One Auschwitz Cross up for grabs here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Auschwitz-Cross-Nazi...1QQcmdZViewItem in my opinion a very high price for a non-documented award, and hard to see if there is any detail on the Aushwitz Ribbon ring Picture with large brown table medal. He also is offering another with the mini at: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Auschwitz-Nazi-Conce...1QQcmdZViewItem Its easier to see the detail on this one. Kevin in Deva.

Order of the 23rd August II Class, (1959). Order of Labour III Class, (1958). Medal of Labour, (1949). Single medal ribbon in Romanian Colours can cover two awards: 1. 8. REPUBLICIA POPULARA ROMINA / the Peoples Republic of Romania. 1947 - 1965. Opening of an Agricultural Commune 1962 Medal. Kevin in Deva.
    9. REPUBLICIA SOCIALISTA ROMANIA / the Socialist Republic of Romania. 1965 - 1989. 30th Aniversary Medal of the Liberation from the Faschists. Close up of the front of the medal. Another point that must be noted with regard Romanian Medals and Insignia is the diverse groups that exsisted in the Country, alongside the Army, Airforce, Navy etc, were the Militias, Factory Guards, Securitate, Patriotic Guards etc.. Kevin in Deva.
    10. REPUBLICIA SOCIALISTA ROMANIA / the Socialist Republic of Romania. 1965 - 1989. 50th Aniversary of the founding of the Romanian Communist Party with ribbon device 1921 - 1971 PCR (Communist Party of Romania). this falls into the cheap & nasty catagory, the front has a plastic cover under which the gold-gilt colour degrades to a very dark colour withtime. Kevin in Deva
    11. REPUBLICIA SOCIALISTA ROMANIA / the Socialist Republic of Romania. 1965 - 1989. 25th Aniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic Medal with ribbon device 1947 - 1972 Nice medal with a frosted silver finish, the front has a plastic cover which tends to crack with time. Kevin in Deva
    12. REPUBLICIA POPULARA ROMINA / the Peoples Republic of Romania. 1947 - 1965. 20th Aniversary Medal of the Liberation. Again a nice design, with a nice colourful ribbon. Kevin in Deva

    14. REPUBLICIA SOCIALISTA ROMANIA / the Socialist Republic of Romania. 1965 - 1989. 30th Aniversary Medal of the Liberation from the Fachists carries the bar 1944 - 1974, 23rd of August. Very attractive ribbon using the national Romanian colours, Kevin in Deva.
    15. REPUBLICA POPULARA ROMINA MEDALIA ELIBERAREA DE SUB JUGUL FASCIST. Closer views of the medal. I have just discovered today that there are versions of this medal with the intials R. S. R. on the rear upper. Kevin in Deva.
    16. REPUBLICA POPULARA ROMINA MEDALIA ELIBERAREA DE SUB JUGUL FASCIST. Legitimatie By Decree nr. 325 on the 06 - 08 - 54. by President of the Adunari Nationale of the Popular Republic of Romania to Comrade Nejescu S. Aurel the decoration of the medal. "Liberation from under the Fascists." Signed for the Minister Armed Forces by General of the Army. ________________ As can be seen the award booklet was carried for many years hence the poor condition. It will be noticed some Romanian medals carry the Soviet style of medal bar and others a Romanian style which the ribbon backing plate tends to be more rectangular. Kevin in Deva.
    17. The soldier trimmed the award card to fit into the medal box!! Kevin in Deva
    18. Hallo Gentlemen as a change from my normal posts I have decided to post some Romanian Communist Medals both Military and Civil, as time goes by I hope to add more. Romanian Communist Medals can be found marked with the letters: R. P. R. which stands for: REPUBLICIA POPULARA ROMINA / the Peoples Republic of Romania. 1947 - 1965. R. S. R. which stands for: REPUBLICIA SOCIALISTA ROMANIA / the Socialist Republic of Romania. 1965 - 1989. I obtained this medal on my second holiday visit to the town of Brad, Transylvania, Romania in 2001, it is for Military Service, upon closer examination of the medal box I discovered the soldier?s award card under the medal insert in the box. Funny thing is the soldier?s family name is Craciun which translates as Mr. Christmas! Socialist Republic of Romania. VIRTUTEA OSTASEASCA Medal, Class 1. / Soldierly Virtue I Class. Conferred by the State Council. Conferred by Decree Number. 717 on the 28. 07. 1967, On Comrade: Craciun P. Nicolae. Signed for the Minister of the Armed Forces. Gl. Colonel. __________________________ Signature. Kevin in Deva
    19. Hi Jacky, No, it was Marcus H, who said he had one in a group, in his post (No. 7) And he has a picture posted under the Belgium section at: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=3606 Kevin in Deva.
    20. Hallo Marcus, now you come to mention it, you might be right, with regards it being a Belgian type, I was relying on memory when I typed my post sometimes not the most reliable way to do things. Your cross is something like these pics: Kevin in Deva
    21. I can now post some new pictures of a mini Ludwig, (one of three from my collection) I took today, by the way the coin is 18mm in diameter Kevin in Deva.
    22. Hallo BJW the award is from POLAND to Polish and International Survivours of the camps, the P in red triangel I believe designates "Political" Prisoner. I have seen the medal attached to a Belgium medal bar, obviously very post WW2. It also comes with an award booklet. Kevin in Deva.
