    1. Hi Dave & Tony thanks for the replies. I'ver paid for them but have yet to recieve them so I am using the sellers pics. I believe Tony knows the EK1 When I get the EK2 I'll advise further Regards Craig
    2. here are some of my other 57 eks that I have just bought - I beleive they are early ones but again how can you tell ?? My EK 1
    3. Here it is in the case - again is this the correct 57 case or something that was added later as it looks like it is made from plastic ?
    4. Here is the reverse - does this help at all as it looks "flimsy" compared to Gordons screwback in a previous thread
    5. Hi guys - am I correct is assuming that this is an early Dk due to the low acorns on the oakleaf - I looked in Gordon's book " the Iron Cross of 1939 " but I couldnt see the answer. Apologies in advance Gordon if the answer is there but I must have missed it. How does one tell if an 57er is an early one or a later production model ?? I was told it is by the position of the acorns is this correct ? Regards Craig
    6. Hi Marcus, Gordon & Darrell. I agree mate I prefer to have pieces in great condition the way they would have looked like when they were awarded, so thats what I choose to accquire. In fact Marcus I am exactly like you I prefer them in packets etc Maybe as Gordon says an 1870 or 1813 I wouldnt touch but I dont see the problem with WW2 pieces - after all this is how they were suppossed to look like in the first place BTW I think your spanish cross looks excellent in the after photos Regards Craig
    7. Hi Darrell - as my good friend Goldfinger would say "thats a keeper". I thought my EK was mintier than mint but it pales besides yours. Even though it is sad our mate has "retired" at least we can keep the dream alive in our collections with the items we have gotten from him All the best Craig
