    1. Here is the only WW2 or so hat badge I have, It's an Arty one with a "Kings" crown. you will have to pay attention to the crown when buying them. Here's a link to a good site on Canadian Regiments http://www.canadiansoldiers.com/mediawiki-...title=Main_Page
    2. Yes They must have put alot of time and energy in making the laqured cases, considering that you would think it was disposable, though from the way I have seen for mounting them it seems a temporary thing on the bar, but I find that it adds something to the set.
    3. A bit of field improvisation? Would the Flight branch have had the Sonderfuhrer rank?
    4. 6th class medal front and rear Thanks Ed
    5. My last one at this momment is the 6th class. The case, this is almost double the size of the other 2 cases.
    6. The case has a little damage to it, I had to white glue the front top and right side (as you look at the scan), it's hard to see where it was broken. Medal, obverse and reverse with the full image on the reverse
    7. Hi Ed, sorry about that, it was midnight last night and I needed to scan the 7th class as it came in yesterday, but was tired and went to bed. All by it's self it would have had zilch to do with WW2, but the next 2 do. 7th class case cover
    8. Thanks Ralph Interesting site.
    9. Both sides of the medal
    10. 8th Class from the Russo-Sino conflict of 1904-05, I have the awards doc for this one but dont have it framed yet. I have to thank Gordon for this one , and curse him for starting me on the trip to Japan
    11. 6th Class, uncased at this time though I am working on a cased version. The enamel work on these and the other Japanese medals sure is sweet.
    12. 7th class case cover
    13. Here's my set of the order. 8th class
    14. To give you an idea about how delicate these are, here they are with the Canadian Vetrans quarter (.25 cents), if I recall there were only 3million of these issued in 2004 and they were handed out by a Coffee shop chain called "Tim Horton's" in Canada
    15. Yup Any information on this award would be appreciated
    16. Medal obverse and reverse. Thanks for looking, and all comments and opinions welcome would that be a makers mark behind the bar?
    17. The second one of the set
    18. Medal obverse and reverse
    19. The one on the left first
    20. These two came as a set and I am not sure what the difference is, though I do know that the tassel attached denotes a different level IIRC. The is also a difference on detail.
    21. Medal front and rear
