Hello all, I was wondering if I can get some opinions on this badge,is it real or repro etc. I don't really collect these items so although I have a feeling it's good I'd like to get some imput from others and also if possible to get a rough value of what these items sell for. I am in the middle of going thru some of my stuff to see what I want and what I really don't wanna keep perhaps so any info on originality and value is much appreciated. Hello again, I believe this is just a typical profile plaque of Hitler. I have seen them before and also other one's with Hindenburg and others. Duzig

Hello, Don't know how much help this might be but I have seen profile plaques of Hitler before & that would be my guess as to what it is. What size is it and when you say it looks like it could be mounted what do you mean? Is there a hook or something on it? I don't see one so just wondering. As I said I think it's just a Hitler profile plaque...but that's just my guess. Duzig

Hello all, Thought I had started a post on this item but apparently not. Would like to get opinions and info about this item. I have seen non enamelled plaques like this,and lately have seen enamelled plaques like this but much larger than the one shown and also much newer looking. Any info regarding this plaque is appreciated Duzig

Hello, Wood, can you give us a better translation of the wording than the one I got online? I put it in babblefish and what came up sounded pretty interesting but as usual not an excellent translation. I also wonder what the last line speaking of the 30 parties is about. Very interesting tinnie(?). To me items like this, what I would call ideological or items designed to instill support for the regime or the cult of personality are amongst the most interesting collectibles of this era. The pageantry of the party day rallies and the like must have been awe inspiring for a good portion of the populace. Hello, John nice looking item! Can I ask what size is it and what is it made of? I've noticed lately that more people seem to be getting interested in non portable items, plaques and the like and the prices being asked for them seem many times,to me,to be out of bounds. I wonder if it's because so many of the combat badges are being faked turning many away from collecting them and also because of the finite # of ww2 items available in general. At the last few shows I attended(and I don't go to many)I couldn't believe what some of the dealers were asking for stuff. Almost got me thinking about collecting other things,almost...but didn't.LOL Again nice looking item. Duzig(Bill)

Hello all, These fire service decorations are certainly some of the most striking badges I've seen. I'll be glad just to get a 2nd class cased one at some point in time,not to mention any of the others! And Don I've never seen the Rhineland badge or Baden 25 year service cross ever before,beautiful items. You have some fantastic stuff in your collection. Duzig(Bill)

Hello Don & all, Thanks Don and I will try to get a pic of makers mark as soon as I am able to borrow a friends camera. Unless one is really looking for a mark it is almost unnoticable. Also I noticed on another thread a member had mentioned about he collects non portable,or fringe items and how discouraging it is not to get answers when posting that stuff, I agree but think that a lot of that might be because no one really has too much info regarding these items. I hope he and others continue to post their stuff because this way maybe a database of information or at least more interest will be developed in regards to non portable and what I call "oddball" items. Hello all, Sorry for posting this so long after all the other comments but just found this site. Always nice to find another forum dealing with TR subjects. Here's a Nuremberg Party Days pewter plate I have. The plate has the outline of the town of Nuremberg and the wording "Nuremberg Stadt der Reichparteitage" and 9 symbols of representing the party around the edges. In case anyone else has one of these I would be interested in knowing if you have ever noticed a makers mark on the one's you own. The marking is at the city scene on the bottom left of the townscape slightly above the letter d in "der" ,near what looks like a tree'd area are what i believe to be the letters Z Co. Also has anyone seen any of these plates in a larger size than eight inches? Duzig(Bill)
