Is it me or does that have a post '39 type frame with the wide arms? Other than that everything looks good about it which confuses the heck out of me. Is it a custom made original wide frame or ????

'39 frame Dan?? Not on your life - this type as worn by the Kaiser himself - and one of the few you 1870 EK1 hunters should target!!

It's nice to see another period example, but without the side hooks or fangs as Greg calls them. (Thanks Greg! )

It doesn't get any better than this folks. In four decades I've had five other 1870 EKIs pass through my collection before I found a Godet example. IMO these are the cream of the crop bar none. They are rare by any measure and a true treasure.
