Hun Helmet
What do you guys think of this looker? It's not complete but I could round up a chin strap and add a liner cord I already have. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...A%3AIT&rd=1 Again I had to pay top dollar, I am finding the best strategy on ebay is to just throw your money around Mike
Chip
Nice helmet, but yikes, the prices have gotten far beyond most collector's means. Chip
JensF.
Thats why I am proud of the restored and repainted helmets I have which I got for nearly nothing. The prices are getting really sick, especially for Mimikri-helmets...

The prices are getting really sick, especially for Mimikri-helmets... I have a few restores and partial restores (Repo liners). When this very nice original example came up I had to have it. I am becoming more and more a purist of late. The Original exmaples are going to hold their investment value much better. Mike

The prices are getting really sick, especially for Mimikri-helmets...Hallo Gentlemen I always wanted one of these WW1 helmets, but the prices are way to high, in the end but had to settle for the shell, which I found here in Romania, which I plan to restore, I will add a camo paint-job and its pride of place will be on the top of my medal cabinet, just for reference where can repro liner, pads, and chin strap be obtained and for how much??Kevin in Deva. Daniel Murphy
Kevin, Prarie Flower Leather Company makes the best. You can get a complete liner with pad and pins, or just the parts you really need. Here is the link:Dan Murphyhttp://pflco.com/german.htm
