EK 1870 1870 EK2 Is this one real or repro ?

I have seen this 1870 EK2 for sale and would like to buy it, but I am wondering if it is the real thing or not.

Any help and advice will be warmly welcomed. Many thanks in advance.

It looks liike a nice original to me. The core looks to be sand cast as were the originals. The frame has good beading and a hump at the top is always a good sign for a quality original piece. Good luck.

Many thanks for that. This is the first one these that I will have bought, (yes, I've taken the plunge and ordered it - it's from a reputable dealer, so fingers crossed), and I have only ever seen one 'in the hand', hence my posting on here. I've done what reading up and research on these I can and was pretty happy it was ok, but it's always good to other opinions - especially from those with experience of these.

So thanks for the reply. When it arrives I'll post more pictures of it.
