KeithB
Hello. I was hoping someone here could help me identify the meanings of the silver hallmarks on my Order of the White Rose. The only mark which I can identify is the final one, the 'P.5'. I understand that it indicates a date of manufacture of 1920.Thank You in advance. The first is just the medal itself. KeithB
These are impressed on the ring. The first photo is the first half and the second starts from where the first left off. Thanks again! Edited September 25, 2006 by KeithB
Guest Rick Research
Yup, "P5" is 1920. The "banana" next to it is the "canoe" for the city of Helsinki. Can't make out the other marks of the maker "VL."
Carol I
The marks appear to be: "VL" (maker's mark), Finnish crown stamp, "813H", boat stamp for Helsinki (place of assay) and "P.5" (for 1920).
