Guest Rick Research Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Among the box of Soviet ribbons which Gerd spotted for me, and which arrived today, is THIS "world record holder" as far as I have ever seen ofFOURValor Medals!!! This old Moscow defense veteran was out of the armed forces before 1948 (no jubilee medal) so it looks like his MMM and ORS were probably "real" awards too, and not for long service. If they WERE long service, that would make his quartet of Valors even MORE strange![attachmentid=4371]These are cloth ribbons under thin plastic dirt protection sheets, circa 1978-1985 from the last jubilee to not having the next one. This is that nasty recycled watering can metal type construction, with each row of ribbons held on by SHARP bent over tabs through punched holes-- so it is possible to say confidently that this was never pried apart and fiddled with. I have seen one group with THREE Valor Medals, but even TWO is unusual.Would I like to have the paperwork and actual awards for THIS goup!!!!
