Gunther Beckmann
Hello all .....I would be interested in hearing your opinions of this badge..It looks much better in person.. These images are a little dark and blueish in color. The badge has, what I would qualify as, a natural patina..It has crisp detail and very high quality..Thanks in advance...Mike[attachmentid=56423] Edited October 8, 2006 by Gunther Beckmann

Luftmensch
Something funky about the printed (?) logo on the silk...I've seen a dozen Poellath cases and never lettering like that...what's your verdict on dimensions, Stogie?Rgds Edited October 11, 2006 by Luftmensch

Gunther Beckmann
Luftmensch,Do a comparison between the case on this link and mine:http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/sho...t=carl+poellathWhat do you think?Best..Mike W.
Luftmensch
Yuk, yuk... You bought your case from Stogie, that's what I think! Well if he handled it and says it's okay, that's good enough for me. If it wasn't his it's a dead ringer. Here are two cases I've seen lately with the more common stamping...RgdsJohn
Gunther Beckmann
Very good ! Notice the tiny stain on the silk just to the lower right. Same one.. Anyway, I've dumped the case and the badge....All the best...Mike W.
Stogieman
The case looks identical to one I handled about 3 years back. I believe both versions of this case, with this spelling to be original, just made at different times. The one with the "House Jeweler" designation clearly preceding the one without. The case I had came with a Prussian Observer Badge inside, not a Bavarian. So, someone has added the badge to the case after it left my hands. I have no photos in my archive that match this badge, so I do not believe it was sold by me. The dimensions sent by Mike are smaller than what I would accept as typical P?llath/Poellath manufacture.Mike, may we ask where the case/badge came from?
