The Garde-J?ger-Bataillon was part of the 302.Infanterie-Division (Divisions-Kommando 302) in January 1918, but might not have been there in 1917, although it was apparently in Macedonia from 1916 to 1918. They were part of the division's 26. Kavallerie-Brigade, but that brigade staff wasn't part of the division in 1917. In 1917, the division's combat brigade was the 201.Infanterie-Brigade, part of the 101.Infanterie-Division until November 1916. The only infantry unit that seems to have stayed through all these shifts is 8. Ostpreu?isches Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 45, which was part of the 201.Inf.Brig. when it was with the 101.ID and was still with the 26. Kav.Brig. in 1918 (but it went to the 221.Infanterie-Division in June 1918).

For what it's worth (coming from the "German Forces in the Field, Oct. 1917"), the 302.Division is shown with the Garde J?ger Batl. (two cyclist companies) attached.
