I got this nice portrait yesterday:

    IPB Image

    Photographer stamp is from Munich.

He has the U-Boat badge, the navy wound badge and the turkish star.

On his little ribbon bar there seems to be a small clasp over the ribbon with the crossed swords.

But even with a hi-res scan, it is not to be recognized.

As always - more information would be appreciated.

    Anyway it's a nice shot.

    Hi Robert,

very nice picture for sure, the device as found on the ribbon denotes a battle (altough unofficial as far as i do know) and it depicts the ribbon for the Turkisch star as the soldiers where allowed to wear the ribbon on a ribbon bar and the star seperatly.

Sometimes you do see a mounted star on a medal bar but that was a private arranged method of wearing.

There was a nice article recently printed by the following community: http://www.ordenskunde.at

I think I know the last ribbon,

it could be a Imtiyaz Medal.

It's a turkish medal for bravery / merit....

Will have to look for a picture

    ---> turkish medals

This last picture shows what the ribbon would like, and that's what your ribbon shows.

    Kind regards,

    Hello,

OOOHH indeed, i might be mistaking on this one :speechless: => could you post a close up of the ribbon bar? That would make it clear iff it was either the ribbon for the "Galipolli Star" or for the Imtiaz medal etc ... (or even another exotic thingy  ? )

    Cordial greetings,
