Christophe Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Here are Pablo Neruda (1904?73)'s awards, as displayed in his former house La Chascona, in Santiago (Chile). Neruda, a Latin American poet and politician was awarded the Lenin Prize for Peace in 1953 and the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971. In this display are exhibited both of them, as well as his Legion d'Honneur and other awards. He also got an Order of Lenin, not shown in the picture.Ch.Pic : ? Christophe ? ChR Collection

Christophe Posted December 9, 2006 Author Posted December 9, 2006 I just regret not having been able to take a better pic. Normally pics were forbidden in the Neruda Fundation. But the Lady who welcomes guests allowed me to take a few of them... at a certain distance. I did not want to insist...Ch.
