9th Black Watch Posted December 15, 2006 Author Posted December 15, 2006 I would also appreciate your opinions on this EKI.There appears to be no maker's mark on the reverse. All the best,Derek

greg.hays Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 The IAB is original and in the past has been attributed to Wernstein but this is likely not the case. It is a topic of alot of discussion as it has a twin in the L/51 marked IAB which is made by Weidman so that is one possibility. Another theory is that the "UU" marking may be representitive of a "Wein" conglomorate of makers. But both are just theories right now lacking any definitive evidence. As to the EK I have no idea, not a cross collecter. Hope that helps some.
9th Black Watch Posted December 20, 2006 Author Posted December 20, 2006 Thanks Greg,Very much appreciated.All the best,Derek
mike75 Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 I think the maker of the cross is Rudolf Souval
S.Weber Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Its a good IAB, but sorry ist not Wernstein! Its not sure, but ?? is Wiedmann Frankfurt.Look at the Designs of L/51 IABs and ??-IAB, ist the same
