Tom63 Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 J have been reading "The Prussian and German Iron Cross" by Bowen, published in 1986.Yet i am faced with questions based on some points he raises.Page 29 - S&L and Juncker suggested the 1914 EK rims be used, which would have enabled them to use old stock as well as dies. One or both produced(1920-30) the WW1 EK1 versions?
Gordon Williamson Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Both Juncker and Steinhauer certainly produced 1914 Iron Crosses in the period between WW1 and WW2 and through until 1945.
joe campbell Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 and apparently used old stock to do them, when available.you have a very interesting reference book there in the bowen manuscript.joe
gregM Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Does anyone have a known Steinhauer 1914 EK to post for us?
