North Korean Lieutenants Uniform

Here's my latest addition. I finally got around to putting it on display. Anyway, It's the tunic and Barrel Cap of a North Korean Lieutenant. The awards include: The Order of the National Flag 1st and 2nd class, Order of soldier's honor 1st and 2nd class and the Military Merit Medal.

I managed to get a 50's Kitel before the wall came down, and it had one button missing, that was harder to replace than the damn tunic..

I've seen a DPRK Lieutenant's Uniform with Orders 3 across and five deep and most of the right side covered in medals. See the attached picture.

I guess I over did it on this one. I've had this group plus three more Orders and two more medals. I just didn't have a kitel to put them on. I can tone it down some. I used that picture as a general guide. Lesson learned. Thanks Ed!!

Nice collection. But your uniform is not Lieutenant, it is Major. The field officer of KPA has two lines on their shoulder boards or collar tabs, and the company officer just have only one.

Yes, I consider it fantasy too, but you can at least see which stars should go to the left and which to the right (provided you can trust the picture).
