Stogieman Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 What's a cased DSO with repeat bar bringing these days? Unattributed and supposedly a WW1 piece. Condition and case are superb! Thanks for the help!
Stogieman Posted July 11, 2005 Author Posted July 11, 2005 Can anyone post some photos of examples of this cross please? The one I am looking at does not seem to have the correct suspension bar. The Cross and case look correct, but the ribbon and suspension do not appear consistent with what they should be?
Guest Darrell Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Hey Rick,Here's a couple of pics of a DSO for you...
Stogieman Posted July 11, 2005 Author Posted July 11, 2005 Gorgeous! Thanks! Scratch my request...... I think the one I'm looking at is rubbish.....
Stogieman Posted July 16, 2005 Author Posted July 16, 2005 Fantastic pieces and groups. thanks for letting me see what these should really look like.
deptfordboy Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 lovely groups - a DSO group is definitely on the want list for me (if and when I can afford it) Cheers Gilbert
Bob Hunter Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Which side is the obverse, the side with the royal cypher or the side with the crown?
Marcus H Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 The obverse Bob is just the monarchs crown within the laurel wreath, the REVERSE has the crowned royal cypher with the laurel wreath. My favourite British award, a very pretty looking medal.KrMarcus
