MJC Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Can any of you gents identify the name signed here? Best!
Guest Rick Research Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Well, not from the microscopic blurry, but the "Chief of the Order Police" as it says wasKurt DALUEGEand he was General der Polizei up to his promotion on 20 April 1942, so this miniature fragment of an ?? officer's commission predates that.
MJC Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 (edited) Rick,Thanks for confirming my suspicions, although looking at his signature, it is still difficult to see how that spells "DALUEGE".No, this is not some pedestrian commission, but something much nicer The original doc is being restored and I only had the crappy scan I posted. The doc belongs to the man pictured on the right. Look closely for the clue. More later, and thanks again. Edited January 30, 2007 by Michael Constandy
Bernhard H.Holst Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Hello :As Rick already pointed out the signature may well be that of Gen.d.Pol. Kurt Daluege. A comparison of this signature and the one pictured in Michael Miller's new reference book "Leaders of the SS & German Police" Vol. 1 pertaining to D.shows great similarity. Daluege was apparently authorized to sign on H.Himmler's behalf when H. was absent.Bernhard H. Holst
J Temple-West Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 A quick search has turned up this document signed by ?Daluege?.
Ernst Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 The doc belongs to the man pictured on the right. Look closely for the clue. More later, and thanks again.Mike,Is your man wearing a Bergf?hrer badge?
MJC Posted February 3, 2007 Author Posted February 3, 2007 Ding, Ding, Ding.....we have a winner!
