Very similar case to the 1939 EKs but slightly different proportions. Note the rounded front edge to the lid.

Another great one Gordon! I remember you selling many EKs (last year ?) so I assumed you were now concentrating on U Boat stuff....(I did purchase a great EK1 from you at the time and it is one of the best pieces I own). Have you caught the bug again?

Hi Terry,

No I'm not getting heavily into EKs again, I just kept my favourite example of each type. These are just images I've been sorting through. U-Boats are still my main interest, plus KVKs and I have developed a very strong interest in Japanese awards which I'd have to say are far superior in quality to German stuff.

Hi Gordon! A very pretty cross and looking so exemplery of the WW1 crosses made during the 3. Reich. Nice to find a (real) cased screw-back!

That's a lovely piece! I remember reading on another forum that you had a book on KVK's in the works. May I ask if that is indeed the case and if so, when is it due for publication?
