Herr General Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 (edited) Small but nice. This is a small ribbon from the Dutch bravery award the Bronze Cross and the British Royal Victorian Order. I received this from a close friend from the Dutch Veteran who use to wear this. The name of the veteran is Jacobus ( Jack ) Gerardus Brouwer. Jack was a resistance fighter during wwII, fought in the Dutch east Indies and did also a lot for the relationship between Holland, Germany and Great Britain. He died in 2005, just a few months after I met him on Nederweert cemetery.Col. Georgie Dee, Reverend Glynn Williams and Jack Brouwer in front of the grave of Henry Eric Harden VC Royal Army Medical CorpsI will try to post a list of his awards latere on.
