Anybody know what this is please - when I got it a few days ago I thought that the shield was red & blue & that it was perhaps connected to the Bucks Yeomanry if they'd been converted a Royal Artillery unit at some point.

The shield is in fact red & black (which would be command colours).

Is this an insignia of a Bucks Battalion or Bucks Yeomanry derived formation?

    Hi.

101st, Medium Regt Workshops, REME, Buckinghamshire Detachment.

This sign was also worn by the Buckinghamshire Army Cadet Force.

Thanks, I had'nt got a clue other than that it was probably linked to Bucks.the dealer got them along with some IV Guards Bde patches, so perhaps the same man who served with both units.

What does the chained duck symbolise? They must have had something in mind?

Don't see an officer saying "Jones, design a badge with a chained duck... no symbolism behind it.. but I think it would look kinda gnarly!"
